Brian had expected some hostility but he certainly didn't expect what was about to happen.
He was smiling, grinning, pleased with himself at this small victory and had brought a bottle of champagne over to the Lida home to celebrate the marriage. He laughed cynically as Nicholas Lida ordered champagne glasses from the kitchen.
