CHAPTER 5 SECRET BETWEEN US

Anne was willing to wake up early to meet Holland, who always came early and read in the library.
"hey can I sit?"
"Anne?why did you come early today?"
"I just want to find a different atmosphere."
"what?"
"nothing"
Holland was confused but he continued reading.
"is that history of the second war?"
"yeah it is."
"you like reading history?"
"sometimes."
Anne nodded,and then ask him a question"do you have a girlfriend?"
he was so confused,but then replied"no I don't have."
Anne can't believe that Holland don't have a girlfriend"oh I knew you're lying."
but then Holland shake his head"no I don't,I really don't have a girlfriend Anne."
"how could someone like you don't have a girlfriend?"Anne asked.
"what about you?"Holland look at anne seems curious.
"me?"
"do you have a boyfriend?"he asked Anne with curious face.
"no,it wastes my time"
"so am I"
" aa I see"
Holland looked at his watch,and then looked at Anne"my class will start in 10 minutes,i should go."Anne nodded.
He put the book back in the library cupboard,and waved to Anne then left.
Anne sigh,but then she smiled because today she could talk a lot with Holland without feel akwards.
Anne's class begins, the lecturer explains the topic for today by writing the topic on the whiteboard while explaining.The lecturer sometimes ask questions related to the topic.And some people answered and there were also those who hesitated.
"you know I talk a lot with Holland this morning."
"oh where?"
"library"
"really?what you guys talk about?I'm curious "
"it's a secret between me and Holland"
Anne winked at ronald.Ronald was surprised"oh are you going to be in a relationship with him?"
"uh noo!"
"so what?I'm curious."
"you'll see later."she winked again.
Again and again Ronald was curious about Anne, she had too many secrets that she didn't want to tell to him.
He shook his head slowly then returned to focusing on the topic presented by the lecturer.
the class is quiet,only the lecturer's voice could be heard.Anne liked this silence. She felt more focused on studying.
after class,Anne had lunch with Holland and Ronald.
"Did you guys know that Mrs. Shelly will move to another campus and will no longer teach here?"
"what? really?"said Ronald with curious face.
Holland replied"it's impossible,why she wants to move to another campus?"
"I don't know,I heard it from several people here"Anne said.
Ronald replied"sad to heard that.
"I think she's having a rough day here."Holland said.
both of them nodded.
"I think so,"replied Anne.
"anyway,New semester in a few months from now."
"aa yep,it won't be long from now"
"It's been a rough semester."Ronald nodded.
Ronald spoke up"who wants to go to the beach on Sunday?I will go with my sister."
"sounds good,can I join with you?"
"of course you can."
"you don't want to join us?"Ronald looked at Holland.
"nah man,I have something to do on Sunday."he replied.
"oh come on,you really don't want to join with us?"Holland shook his head.
"okay,I hope you change your mind later"
The atmosphere turned silent, and Anne felt she had to leave now.
"uh I have something to do now,just text me what time you want to go to the beach"Anne said to ronald.and he nodded.
"where are you going?"asked Holland.
"I think I have to do something,bye guys."she waved at both of them.
Anne went somewhere outside campus, she arrived at a small house near the bus station.
He entered and was immediately hugged by someone who was his grandmother.
"I miss you grandma,"
"I miss you too honey,How is it on campus? Everything is going well?"
"I'm a little tired, grandma, but when I see you I get excited again"
"oh you seems like your mother."
her grandma rubbed her head slowly.
"come here sit,I made food for you,wait I'll be right back"
she sat on the sofa waiting for her grandma to come"Ah, I wonder what you made?"
her grandma came with a strawberry cupcake in her hand and told Anne to open her mouth"here,take a bite."
Anne was surprised and happy,but then she opened her mouth and took a small bite.
"how is it?"
"this feels Soo good,"Anne replied.
Her grandma smiled when she heard that.
"then finish it honey,"her grandma said.
Anne finished her cupcake quickly.
"anyway,why you look so skinny?eh?did your mother give you enough money?"
Grandma Anne saw that Anne's body looked a bit skinny even though it was the ideal body for a girl.
Anne sighed"oh come on grandma, it's called ideal body for a girl,my mother always gave me more money."
"You have to eat a lot. Come on,eat with me"
"grandma I'm already full now, "Anne touch her stomach a sign that she is full now.
"no no don't refuse, let's eat a little"Grandma Anne gently pulled Anne into the kitchen to eat.
Anne sighed, then followed her grandmother take a seat.
Anne was surprised to see her favorite food on the table"grandma you made it for me?"
her grandma nodded"yes eat a lot,eat slowly."
Anne started eating slowly with her grandmother.
"Do you often talk to your mother?"
"These few months it's rare because I'm busy on campus."
"keep learning okay, don't give up"
"i will try,thanks grandma"she smiled at her grandmother.
her grandmother replied with smile"Sometimes you don't realize your life is changing."
"eat again,"her grandma said.
Anne continued eating until she finished eating.
"thanks for today,I will miss this day"she stood up and hugged his grandmother tightly.
His grandmother hugged her too and rubbed her head slowly.
"You are not a child anymore, remember, if your mother doesn't give you enough money, just ask me,okay?"
"yes grandma,thanks."Anne replied.
Anne said goodbye to her grandmother then left and came back to her house.
she lay down in her room and relaxed her body.thinking a lot about today..
think about how,and what will happen in the future?will she still be like this or not..
Sometimes it's not people who change us but time that changes everything..
life goes on..
