Time-Travelled

Death was not the end for Su Mu. She found herself waking up in a different body, in a different time, in a different place. She couldn't believe it. She had been reincarnated and time-travelled to ancient China, a land where cultivation was everything and the strong prevailed over the weak. When she opened her eyes, she found herself in the body of a young girl named Su Mu as well, the second daughter of the Prime Minister. Su Mu was a beauty, but she had no talent for cultivation, a fact that made her a disappointment to her family. Worse still, she was engaged to the Crown Prince, a powerful cultivator who would expect nothing but the best from his future wife. "Miss Su Mu, are you all right?" asked a voice at her side. Su Mu looked up to see a servant girl with wide eyes and a worried expression. "I'm fine," Su Mu said, though she felt anything but. Her head was spinning from the sudden transition, and she could feel sweat trickling down her back. The servant girl nodded, though she still looked uncertain. "The Prime Minister is waiting for you in the main hall. He wishes to speak with you immediately." Su Mu nodded and followed the servant girl through the sprawling estate. She tried to take everything in as they walked - the grand courtyards, the winding paths lined with lanterns, the ornate buildings with their curved roofs and intricate carvings. It was all so beautiful, so foreign, and so overwhelming. When they finally arrived at the main hall, Su Mu took a deep breath and stepped inside. Her father - the Prime Minister - was seated at the head of a long table, surrounded by other officials and dignitaries. Su Mu's stepmother and stepsister were seated beside him, looking regal and poised in their silk robes. "Ah, Su Mu," said the Prime Minister, smiling faintly. "I'm glad you could join us. You have some catching up to do." Su Mu nodded, unsure of what to say. She knew that she had been reborn into this world, but she still couldn't quite wrap her head around it. How was she supposed to act like a proper daughter of the Prime Minister? Su Mu quickly learned that her new family was not kind. The previous owner of the body had been killed by her step-sister and step-mother, who were determined to eliminate anyone who stood in the way of their ambition. The first attempt on her life after time-travel came just days after her arrival. Su Mu had been exploring the gardens when her step-sister, Su Xie, appeared out of nowhere and attacked her with a sword. Su Mu managed to evade the blow, but she knew that she couldn't let her guard down for a moment. She spent days gathering information and sneaking around the household, trying to stay invisible. She discovered that her elder sister and step-mother had poisoned the former owner of her body, hoping to secure the engagement for her elder sister. Su Mu knew that she had to act quickly if she wanted to prevent the same fate from befalling her. Su Mu knew that she had to act quickly if she wanted to prevent the same fate from befalling her. She decided to seek advices from reading ancient books on how to cultivate and strengthen her strength. She learned that cultivation is practice of refining one's body and mind, of channeling the power of the universe to become stronger. It is what separates the weak from the strong in this world. And if she wants to survive, she must learn to cultivate. The books she read taught her how to meditate, how to control her breathing, and how to channel her inner energy, or Qi. At first, Su Mu found it difficult, but she was determined to learn. Months passed, and Su Mu's cultivation improved. She could now control her Qi, and she had even developed a few basic martial arts techniques. She was no longer the weak Su Mu, but a new person, a person who was determined to survive. But her troubles were far from over. Her step-sister, Su Xie, was still determined to kill her, and now she had a powerful ally in the form of the Crown Prince's mother, the Empress. Su Mu knew that she needed to be careful, that she needed to stay one step ahead of her enemies.
