CHAPTER TWO

What are you saying to me right now , you think marriage is a joke ; It is like I have given you too much freedom , Maya’s dad said with a firm voice .Considering the fact that she moved on so fast from Noah after the heartbreakb and disappointment . And above all how she got married all of a sudden , these were the questions he asked her and she the tension , she explained that he has always been there but she did not just pay him any mind , that he loves her and he does not want to waste any more time because he believes he knows her well enough , hence why they got married.

She left out lots of details because she does not want her father getting angry the more and also because of he’s health condition . Her dad requested to see Levi immediately ; have man to man conversation to know who gets married to someone’s child with their parents consent , and also to ensure she’s in safe hands before she moves in with him , and she assures him that he will come over , and that was settled .

Scarlett had called Maya earlier in the day, that she come over to help pick a date outfit and on getting to Scarlett’s house , she puts a call through to Levi to come see her dad and fills him in on what she has told her dad about him.

On a Thursday morning , Levi called Maya asking for the address to her house ,so he could come see her father ; she hurriedly sent in the address and Levi came with he’s driver this time . The talk with her dad went well because he assured him of her safety especially after her father mentioned about her recent heartbreak

They both decided that she moves to the house on Sunday , and that he’ll send he’s driver to pick her up . Maya told Scarlett on the phone that for some reason she preferred Levi to Noah and that she cannot wait to see the look on Noah’s face when she is introduced to the family.

And that Noah had ones mentioned being he’s uncle next of kin to the billion dollar Morgan’s group ; considering him being the favorite nephew . And how she was going to jeopardize that , “ just watch how I stop that spoilt brat and he’s mum the chance of acquiring wealth for life ” I do not know how yet but I definitely will , Maya sneered.

Maya on the hand runs a small online cleaning business ,where she hires staffs to do the cleaning when she is given a job , it’s not a big brand yet but it’s lucrative and sorts her bills along side her father pension they were not rich and at the same time not begging.

On the day Maya was to leave , she had promised to call daily and also to always visit him every week . Driver arrived at exactly 2pm to pick her .” Good day Mrs Morgan , my boss asked me to bring you home ” ; this made Maya smile .

Getting to the billionaire’s mansion Maya knew Levi was a big deal and expected nothing less because the mansion was huge , she was welcomed by Levi and the maid , when she got in he summoned the driver , security and the maid to properly introduce them to Maya he said “ meet my wife Mrs Morgan and you would like you respect and regard her as much as I do ” Levi said softly .

He had offered that she picked any room of her choice and he will have it fixed to her liking , Maya cuts in and says “ dear husband how can your wife sleep in a separate room from yours ” , ones again you made me smile Levi said .

And then after dinner ,they were having wine when Levi said “why did you not mention how your ex-boyfriend broke your heart ” , Maya sighed and said it is not really important , I do not want to talk about it , at least not for now. She asked him why he has never been seen with any woman and that if he was straight or the rumors are true he chuckled and said “ what do you expect from a man who has always worked he’s a*s out since childhood just to survive ”. While my mates were falling in love , getting married and having kids . I was busy building my empire . I even started to comfort myself that not everyone will get married or have kids in life and maybe I was. just part of them , he gulped he’s wine at ones and retired to bed .

The next morning , Maya was up early because she had to get to her team , so they handle a job before noon , she got ready , woke Levi to inform him and Levi offered for the driver to take her anywhere but she refused saying she will be fine by herself.

He’s PA Rachel called to inform him about the meeting scheduled for 10am and that the client had requested he’s presence . He got ready and headed to have breakfast ,getting downstairs ,he asked Martha “ did Maya eat breakfast ” Martha responded No sir , she said she was in a hurry .

Getting to the office ,he moved straight to the board room where he’s executive where already sitted and after a few minutes the client came in ,he was briefed on all he needed to know and he proceeded to purchasing a property on the Island,with that sealed ; he went over to he’s next activity of the day which is a supervision of the new penthouse project with the MD and PA .

After which Maya had rounded up her job for the day and headed back home ,she was welcomed by Martha asking what she would like for dinner ; she opted for pasta , freshened up and headed down for dinner while eating Levi came in and they dined together . After dinner In the bedroom , she told him she wants him have them set up the room beside he’s so they could both have their privacy ,this lead Levi to ask why she suddenly changed her mind and Maya said it’s nothing serious, , she just realized the house is big enough for them to have separate rooms and enough space . Levi responded okay and Maya drew closer to him and said “ or will my dear husband miss me” with the fragrance coming from her ,they stirred at each other lost. After a few minutes , Levi was instantly conscious , pushed back and clears throat , Maya walked out of the room sheepishly . Maya got downstairs and decided to pour herself a glass of juice just to cool off the tension , while she reminds herself why she got into this arrangement , she called her friend just to be sure if she’s not being overly dramatic,Scarlett assured her it was nothing to worry about about and she tried to tease her saying “ look who’s falling in love with her ex’s uncle “ , laughed , just then Levi’s voice from behind ‘what is that “ . Maya stayed there stunned . Stalked between if he heard their conversation or not .
