So Moon started to work on the crystal matter.  She met with Kaion every day, and in the morning, after having breakfast with her brothers, she was just heading towards the Academy where the scholars were gathering to work on their science experiments. She kept the stone secret for the start, but tried to make Kaion give her as much intel as he would without becoming suspicious.  About his world, she did not find out more than she knew. The only houses left were the Warchild and the Shadows Assassins indeed. They had split Zicon in half and each ruled their lands, fighting each other. The unions across the houses were forbidden from both sides. It was not just forbidden, but unheard of it.  She was worried. Where would their parents be now? What would they be doing? Her mother was with the child. Did she have enough food? Was she warm enough at night? She pretended to be asleep and watched over her elder brother, Silver, watching over all of them. Most of the little ones were agitated in their sleep, they were surely missing their mother. He looked worried too, but during the daytime, he made it look like he was so in control. Only she knew that he was not that much... He was worried for all of them. Including her, just like the big brother that he was. She smiled, looking at the shadows dancing over his face when the clouds were shading the moon outside. He was the best brother ever. She knew she could always count on him. Always thinking about the other's feelings, always there whenever the others needed him.  Just like his father, his copy within the image of their mother. She looked like their mother too, but she did not inherit much of their father, he did all of it. He was cautious, he was a thinker, he would make a great ruler, she thought. Shade was the one who took their father's looks from the three of them. Shade was the one just as his mother, only the miniature. Moon wondered always, if their mother was just like Shade was now, how did she really survive? Always daring, challenging, ready to war the gods themselves, anytime. Restless, it was just hard to believe how peaceful he was sleeping... Impossible brave and always thinking two steps ahead of the opponent, which was dangerously good... if you were keeping on your side that was... Yes, their brother Shade was everything they needed to win in any situation. Having them both close, was making her feel safe. But she knew that the little ones needed their parents. And she did not know if they would ever get them back now. Baka did not come back. Kaion was still here... They did not know of any shadow to be heard of going back to Zicon, the world they originally came from. If there was one, they never knew of.  Moon wondered how was Kaion's world. From what she knew from Senere, it was horrible for a woman. Women did not touch weapons, they could not speak their minds freely, they were treated like objects. She smiled. She wanted to be there, to see the looks on the one man's face, when they would try to treat their mother as an object!!! She would crush them all!! Oh, no! If a woman had no power in Kaion's world, then her mother was a danger, just like Kaion was a danger here! And their father was not in a good position. She needed to work on the crystal harder, to harness the power she needed in order to open the portal and bring them back. But... wait... opening the portal was just a step, what then? Who will she send in, who will come with her? She did not even know for how long the portal would be opened? Who would be present when the portal would open and who will not try to do anything funny?  Kaion for sure wanted to go back, he could take the chance and get through, regardless of her need to bring her parent back! He did not even... she did not even think he liked her parents in the first place, so he could not be trusted with this mission alone! Then what to do? She needed to study the portal, the crystal, and make sure there would always be someone close enough to go in with her if the portal would manage to be open! Who could she count on?  They needed a council talk, Moon, Tiger, Alane, and Shade. Yes, that should have been a priority, one would come up with a plan while she would work on the crystal. She just sent the message. She needed them all to make a good plan. But first, they had to gather to speak. So just set up a meeting in the forest near the fortress's wall. The little ones did not need to know and the other ministers either. By the time she was considering that she felt Shade like a storm. Oops... something was wrong, she felt so much anger and rage inside of their bond, he would surely kill someone in this state of mind. What was happening? Someone did something to him. She needed to find him, they did not need more trouble than they already had. She started running away through the corridors, looking for them. "War Council room, Moon!" came the location from Silver. "I'm on my way, brother!", Moon answered him back. They all knew that without their parents, only Moon could bring him some peace and she was the only person except for their mother who could calm him down. But the more she was getting closer, the angrier she could feel him. -Do not go there! He yelled at his brothers, Silver and Alane, who were having their arms over his shoulders. -If we do not go there, you might have to marry by the order of the ministers, you know? Silver tried to make a joke. -I would kill them all before they even think about it!! -Shade!!! Moon's voice made them all stop, and she stopped his body placing her palm against his chest, to the heart, slowing down his heart rate in order to take his anger away. But it was so much anger in his body, she felt she would lose herself and her feet suddenly could not hold her anymore. The calming effect of the twin bond they were sharing did not calm him down though, he just stopped cursing at the ministers only, but still fighting the internal storm. You know how lucky mother was when father proposed to her, and you know why did he propose to her, right?  She looked him in the eyes and they all knew. They knew their mother DID kill the entire War Council when they asked her to consider a union, just as Shade was thinking about it. But there was a low that was specially made for the royal blood regarding this equity situation. Taking life from a House would only require giving one back into the same house. Their mother was lucky that their father loved her and asked her hand in marriage, and she accepted him as being part of the Assassins House and that closed the War Council execution dispute.  They knew how lucky she had been with their father making her happy. But if it was not him, things could be so very different. They all understood. But Shade was all their mother... They needed to watch him.
