Chapter 10…A Change in the Weather “Bob-wake up! Bob—” The voice came through dimly to me. I didn’t want to wake up; I was warm and comfortable. “Pete. Pete—boy! Snap out of it!” That annoying voice, like the sound of my conscience nagging me over past sins. Nagging Pete too. Someone slapped me. I was angry. I drove a hard right to the jaw of my tormentor. But my fist wouldn’t double and my arm didn’t move very far and I knew the straight right connection was only in my mind.
