Jason scrolled through his emails while sitting in his office at East Manhattan University. A second-year undergraduate student knocked on his door.
“Come in,” Jason responded.
“Hello Professor White. I’m in your introduction to stats class. I had a question about my midterm exam.”
“Yes. How can I help you?
Jason enjoyed teaching, but he really hated teaching introduction classes. Most of his students were taking this class because it was a prerequisite. He could not stand students who felt entitled. His parents never helped him in college and Jason felt that students needed to grow up and figure things out on their own.
“Mr. White.”
