“Excuse me.” Martha said and left the room, leaving only Alvin and Dora. Once they were both sure she had left, they carried on with their conversation.
“Dora, what do you mean by what you said? You know I’d always stand by you, right?” Alvin started.
“Yes, I know. But if I tell you you’d think I’m going crazy. It’s like only I can see what I’m seeing and hear what I’m hearing.”
Alvin placed his palm on her forehead. “You look pale. Have you been eating well?”
“See, I haven’t even told you what I’m experiencing and you’re already talking like this.” Dora rolled her eyes, shaking her head in disappointment as if she didn’t expect that kind of reaction.
