18 Sam awoke later that day to the sound of familiar stumblings in her house. She glanced at the sleeping hellhound at the foot of her bed and smiled. Not even a worried peep from the puppy. That combined with Melissa’s key on the kitchen island left Sam reassured with who was pottering down in her kitchen. Eager to see Lilith, she tumbled out of bed and threw on a large, comfortable shirt. As fun as the curtain was, it was much better suited on the wall than on her body.
