A Little Soiree
I was promoted at home, and promoted at work.
Just days after receiving my collar, I became assistant manager of my department at the car dealership. It meant more responsibility, sometimes longer working hours, but most of all, more pay. Finally, I would not just be financially treading water. What with Stephanie and Daniel still paying rent, it looked like I might even get a little bit ahead. But money aside I still thought of them almost constantly. The biggest reminder was my collar. I wore it at work, not out where everyone could see it, that would be crazy, but underneath high neckline modest shirts. I snapped up a dozen or so of them at some second hand store for a song and they perfectly hid the collar. I didn’t wear it all the time though. A
