Chapter Thirteen The Interrogation I made sure I got home right in the “safe time” as I thought of it, not too early, not too late. Daniel and Stephanie’s car was already in the garage, which was normal too, so I took a calming breath, straightened my clothes, and acted like it was just another day at work. Normal. Everything was normal. The house was quiet, almost deathly so. Usually one of them was in the kitchen, rattling pots and pans around for dinner while the other either finished up on some writing or prepared for class the next day.
