Chapter twelve.
Luca was about to retire to bed for the night when the thought of checking on Carol crossed his mind. He was now dressed in his blue silk pyjamas and flipflops.
He came out of his bedroom and was about heading downstairs to Carol's room, when for some reason, he thought to first check on Jennifer.
He walks to her room, gently opening the door, he discovers she isn't in her room. Wondering where she could be, he closed the door and headed downstairs.
He searches all over the house, asks the guards outside but no one had are her. "Maybe she's with Carol" he thought.
He goes to Carol's room, gently opens the door and finds them both sleeping soundly. Jennifer sat beside Carol, resting her head on the bed. And for some weird reason, Luca felt relieved she was there.
