Confrontation

Sitting beside Logan I took his hand in mine, kissing his knuckles he smiled leaning in to kiss my temple, using his free hand to turn my head to face him as he looked deep into my eyes and press a kiss on my lips. The kiss where I felt his love for me pour like an overflowing flute of champagne, his kiss where I felt him telling me he missed me and most of all the kiss where he made me fall in love with him on our wedding day. "I love you so much." He whispered against my lips, placing another kiss on it and on my forehead. The relationship we had came as fast as a hurricane, he met me and was dead set to help me. We got married and in our marriage we slowly fell in love, until he confessed to me that he fell for me long before he even asked my hand in marriage. "I heard you visited Antoinette." He spoke low, his head resting against mine. There were things that really never went past him. "I did, bluntly told her either I buy it off for a reasonable price or I destroy it in front of her." I mumbled, my fingers tracing soothing circles on the back of his hand. "Sounds like I'm rubbing off of you." I could hear the proud tone in his voice and that made me smile, turning to face him I placed my hand against his cheek. My thumb rubbing the warm skin of his very handsome face. "You know you do more than rubbing." I smirked and laid out the double meaning which he caught on to real quick. "Don't test me Mrs. Sabella or we aren't going to any party tonight if you keep that up." He growled real low, looking at me with heated, lustful ebony eyes. "You're more than welcome to retaliate Mr.Sabella." I smirked at him, matching that lustful gaze he was giving me. And retaliate he did, he had the driver get out and catch a cab in the middle of the highway, Logan took the wheel and drove us somewhere private and really silent. We acted like hormonal teenagers that made out at the back of the car, that turned to more. I swear this man is like an energizer bunny on coke with the way he made love to me and coming out not looking the least bit tired while I looked like a mess at the back of the car. We arrived at the party late and before that I had to do a re-touch on my make up and just let my hair fall into dark curls since my husband liked running his fingers through my hair as he.. well you get the picture - and I thought I did a great job but of course Darcy and Bailey being my best friends, they noticed something was way off. Darcy pointed out my overly puckered lips, a faint red mark on my neck that looked like a stain thanks to that concealer I sloppily smudged over it and my dress looking a little bit crumpled. "Someone had a quickie in the back of the Benzie." She teased and I slapped her arm to lower her tones, with me not denying her accusation she laughed so loud it caught everyone's attention. "Hush woman before I spill the beans on how I caught you and Mason in your office with you screaming bloody murder." I harshly whispered with a smirked, she paled then blushed bright at the memory. "You wouldn't." She glared playfully at me and I just smirked evilly. "I so would, so don't test me." "I swear you two and your s*x lives are kinkier than that erotic novel." Bailey commented and rolled her eyes as she took a sip of her champagne. "Well I would take that as a compliment however, I doubt it is, we're not into that kind of s**t yet." I smirked and Darcy blushed brighter, she may be a strict and tight with her rules in work however when her husband is concerned she is very much just that shy Irish girl I met back in the UK. The Charity Auction was on full swing, I stood beside Logan who had his arm around my waist. His grip was tight however gentle as he watched the charity turn to a success, so far we have collected roughly $19M and the auction just started. The proceeds are to go to the children's orphanage and to the homeless shelter we had created. Because walking under the pouring rain with nowhere to go to is a feeling I do not want people to feel and for the children/teenagers who are abandoned or shunned by their families, I want them to feel as if they have a family of their own in the orphanage. Where they may not be blood related but they are family. It was my time to deliver the speech along with my husband to thank the people who came and supported the move, to those who were willing to help. "I thank you all, for coming and helping. Words aren't enough to express the gratitude I feel towards you people, as I have said earlier this charity auction's motive is to put a roof above the homeless, to feed them and give them the chance to live a life without staying under the cold nights or hot skies, this is for the children.." As soon as I said children my eyes landed on a specific group which I had somehow had to be thankful for, as I spoke my next words my eyes never wavered from theirs. "This is for the children whose family has abandoned them, who has shunned them and left them out in this cruel world. My initial intention is for them to feel that they will and always will have a place open for them, a place where they will actually feel safe and cared for. I thank you once more for opening your hearts into this project and helping the people who do not have the kind of luck we had, hence this program is for them, I have planned to open a school for so that education is something they can grasp easily and for the homeless, to give them a better chance in life with jobs and homes." I have spoken and they all listened, liking the ideas I have laid on the table and of course they wanted to take part in it. Everyone clapped loudly and my husband came up to the stage, standing beside me he kissed me on the temple and smiled at everyone who looked at us in awe. "Everyone, my wife." He smiled, I felt my heart swell with the way he was so proud of me and also I was happy he had my back and also helped me through these hardships. As we got off the stage people were still clapping, getting close to us just to either congratulate or thank us for the wonderful idea. We were too busy talking to a bunch of people that I didn't notice them come close and had the audacity to smile, congratulate me for the success I have made and for inviting them. The people we were speaking with went back inside the venue to enjoy the party that was still ongoing. I stared dead into their eyes, my face an unemotional mask. "This is great achievement for both of you, doing great for the future." Hank spoke proud and of course I didn't miss that glare he somehow threw to Beth who was still hiding behind her fiancee. "Cut the büllshit Hank, what do you want?" I spoke with venom, Antoinette, Beth, Aleksander and Andrew looked surprised at what I just said. "You disrespectful little shít." His demeanor broke immediately and I raised a brow at him, clenching his hands to a fist. "I warn you to back away from my daughter-in-law Hank, before shít gets bloody." I heard Gerald Sabella speak up, coming closer to me and Logan along with his wife Felicity. The two people who were wary with me at first since I suddenly popped up in their family picutre but warmed up to me when they saw I was no Gold digger. "Gerald." Hank acknowledge my father-in-laws threat, taking a step back and stood beside his wife whose eyes never swayed from me. "So I'll repeat again, what do you people want?" I stood closer against Logan who had his hand around my waist, glaring at Aleksander who was glaring at him back. "Look Cassandra, we came here to make peace with you. What happened years ago was a mistake and I spoke out of anger.. So I am here asking for your forgiveness." He spoke looking a bit hopeful but I knew better than to believe this mans words. I couldn't help but laugh, everyone who was hanging around the garden looked our way and walked away either to leave us some privacy or felt the aura was heavy around us. "Oh gosh.." I chuckled and shook my head, patting my chest I looked at Logan who was frowning in confusion. "Oh.my.gosh.. You think it is that easy? And speaking out of anger? Bullshît. You may be forgetting that I used to be your daughter and I am not believing that bullshît you speak of since I know you better than that." I smiled maliciously, the smile turning to a glare that was directed to the bunch. "All I know is you are just coming to me because I am living better than the bunch of you, I am a threat and you people and you should know that my threats to ruin you isn't just an empty threat." I glared hard at Antoinette and Beth who were close to opening those tear dams. "So thank you for disowning me, thank you for kicking me out and treating me like crap through the years. " I smiled shaking Hank and Antoinettes' hand with them looking stunned. "Like they say: What goes around comes back around." I threw a smile their way, and walked away with my true family, the family that understood and loved me better than my own ever could.
