It's a sunny and colourful morning that enhances everyone to achieve their dreams just like the glorious London - a proud city for having prestigious universities like Oxford and Cambridge!
Being a busy city, all are walking on the street hurriedly so is hers - Raima Gupta! She has come London to complete her education..though there is another reason too but let's not talk about this in such an energetic weather. Currently she is doing her masters from St. Javier's College of Arts and now it's her final year of English Literature.
Being already late to reach on time, she's running literally. She's an early riser but today is an exception due to the stress she's facing nowadays. However, letting go the issue, she concentrates on her present but suddenly notices something which halts her step in middle only. She finds some goons to fight with each other while some are protecting a little child around 3 or 4 years.
Seeing the scene before her, she becomes a statue then and there only ; but suddenly her attention breaks with crying voice of the boy who is standing there alone amidst of all goons who are engaged in a fight among themselves. At the very time, a goon comes forward to stab the boy on his chest with a knife.
Instantly, Raima takes a stone from the street and throws it toward the goon ; luckily she's taken a shortcut through the street beside which construction work is going on. However, Raima runs to the child finding the goon to cry in pain and takes the kid in her protective embrace and hides his head in her chest. The boy becomes so frightened of the situation that he immediately hides himself in her warm hug.
Seeing the girl's audacity to hurt their friend in process of saving the kid, two more goons come to her and start to drag the child from her embrace. But to protect the kid, she becomes aware emotionally and tries to hide him more and more to her chest....and the kid too strongly holds her with his tiny soft arms. That's when a goon forwards his hand with a knife towards her but Raima throws the knife successfully with her knuckle. In process of protecting the kid, she gets a sharp cut in her hand and she releases a painful moan.
At the very particular moment, a red Ferrari Portofino stops in front of them. Seeing this, the goons run away from there hurriedly. Other hand, Raima is sitting in the corner of the road with the child in her lap pressing his head on the crook of her neck. Her right hand is bleeding and her bag is laying on the road beside her.
Other side, a young dashing and very handsome man comes out from the car wearing a three piece black armani suit with a sunglass on his dominating eyes to protect other persons from his dangerous gaze.
Looking around the whole street, there he founds his boy at a side in a girl's lap!?..and that also from her appearance, he could easily assume the girl as an Indian. Leaving all thoughts aside, he runs toward them and tries to take the boy from her. But making him angry from inside, that Indian girl denies to give the child to him that enrages the handsome man. So for the very first time, the man speaks!
The man asks the baby in a very caring and soothing voice - "Are you okay, my boy? Have you got any cut or wound on your body? .. (looking at the girl in a dangerous voice) .. By the way, who are you and why are you holding him? Leave him now.
The boy is so much afraid of his earlier experience that he starts to cry in her warm embrace keeping his mouth upon her breast. It seems the tear-strained face of the child makes the girl more angry.
She speaks in a threatening voice - "Who are you Mr to come here suddenly and trying to frighten my boy by snatching him from me? Do you know I can call a police to arrest you in an instant?"
The man says angrily yet in a polite tone - "Your child, really? Then call the police, I'll also see who could take a son from his father."
But instead of getting afraid or shock, the girl speaks in mocking amazement - "Ohh, so you are his incapable father who couldn't even able to protect his own child from goons. Listen, I don't know you but always remember when you can bring him to this earth then it's your duty too to protect him from all evils. Don't take him out if you can't save him. A protective father and a loving mother is the first need of a child for its existence on this earth. So before protecting your right, try to be sanguine of his safety first!"
The people around them become stunned at her words but also feel sorry that her outspoken nature can cause her harm from the devil standing before her. But making all surprised, the man asks in a genuine guilt-ridden voice - "I'm extremely sorry."
Now the bodyguards widen their eyes in more surprise as it's a news when their boss is apologising to someone and even bowing his head too before a mere girl..this is totally opposite to his rude and egoistic nature of every day! But now he is apologising to a girl who has been very harsh to him. It seems the day is going to be remarked as shocking day for them!
For now, Raima cools herself down and gives the boy to that man but the child's hold on her dupatta (a kind of scarf worn by Indian women) gets more strengthened and more tears drop from his eyes. While giving the boy to the man, she also feels a sudden wave of emotion and emptiness in her but she throws away her thought at the next second only. But to everyone's wonder, the boy starts to cry vigorously as he doesn't want to come out of her warm lap. Seeing this Raima holds him in her arms while the boy hides his head on her breast. After sometime, he calms down while the man notices the cut on her right wrist..until now none has spoken a bit..not his men also!
The man worriedly asks seeing her wound - "Ummm, actually, your hand is bleeding. Come with me to hospital as it needs medication!" But the girl denies him straightforward. Not only because she doesn't need help from a stranger but she's getting late for her college too.
But the man without saying or giving her a chance to argue takes her in his arms in bridal style along with the baby in her arms. His this bold act surprises everyone. Then taking her to the car, he makes her sit on passenger seat. Raima sits comfortably with the baby in her lap and wraps one end of her dupatta to her wrist to stop bleeding and the child snuggles more into her chest. Raima smiles softly at the little baby and with other hand starts caressing his soft hairs. The man comes toward them to keep the bag beside her and smiles unknowingly seeing her caring nature. And then he takes the seat to start the engine.
The car-ride is silent but time to time the hiccupping sound is coming from the boy while Raima is busy to kiss his hair to soothe him down in her motherly embrace. The car stops before a hospital building and they come out. Seeing the man, all the people around them including hospital authorities and stuffs get afraid. Raima feels something mysterious but doesn't mind it.
The man goes toward a doctor and asks in ordering voice - "Dress her cut properly so that her wound must get healed quickly. She shouldn't get any pain..(in possessive tone)..And most importantly, call an experienced lady doctor. I don't want any male around her!"
The doctor fearfully nods his head. And then a lady doctor comes to dress her cut and prescribes some medicine. One bodyguard of the man takes the prescription to bring the medicine.
The doctor speaks in an afraid tone to the young man which surprises the girl too for the unknown reason - "Mr Grey, I have done the dressing of Mrs Grey. Just give her the medicine on time, it will heal her cut very soon.
Meanwhile, Mr Grey is busy in watching the scene how the child sleeps in her lap without any annoyance for getting motherly love for the very first time. Seeing the saliva is coming out of the baby's mouth and his cheeks with dry tear, Raima couldn't control herself from caressing his cheeks. She with her dupatta very carefully removes the tear strain and the saliva. The man sees it to smile and feels an unknown sensation in his heart. So without listening to the doctor, he just nodes his head. His heart wonders what this feeling is called as he never gives importance to romance in his life. It's the first time his heart does somersaults and is doing all types of crazy dances.
After sometime, the bodyguard comes with the medicine and the car-ride starts again. Raima gives him her college address. And they remain silent for sometime only when a sudden vibration of his mobile breaks the silence. He receives the call through bluetooth and listens every word very attentively. After a while, he gives some instructions to his man to find every information behind today's incident and cuts the call. He looks toward her with unknown emotion and founds her sleeping peacefully with wrapping his child protectively in her embrace. He very carefully observes her face and her appearance. Her open black hairs are reaching till her waist and some loose hair strands are falling on her face. He forwards his hand and smoothly keeps the hair strands behind her ear. Then he looks at her fair, pretty and innocent face with doe eyes and full glossy lips respectively.
Her fair skin is complementing the light pink kurta with black palazzo. There is a wrist watch with black leather band on her left hand. In contrast, she is wearing two little golden jhumkas (earrings), a gold chain with beautiful ganpati (an Indian God) pendent around her neck.
After twenty minutes of ride, he stops the car with a sudden break before a college gate and Raima's sleep breaks. She quickly places her left hand behind the child's head to stop his head hitting against the car and his sleeps also breaks that time. Raima angrily looks toward the man who with a teasing smile points towards the college. At the sudden break, the boy's sleep gets disturbed and frowns in irritation. Seeing this, Raima promptly pats his head and keeps some slender kisses on his hair to stop another session of crying. Within a minute, he sleeps soundly and Raima gushes out a breath.
Raima very carefully keeps the boy in the seat and places a seatbelt around him and places a chaste kiss on his hair, after coming out from the car. Then she carefully takes the dupatta from his hold and places it around her neck and takes the bag. She then looks at the man who till now has been continuously watching her every action with a loving smile.
Raima with a hesitance speaks to the supposed father of the baby she's got a sudden connection miraculously - "Thank you for the ride Mr .. umm...."
The man speaks with a genuine smile - "Mr Damien Anderson Grey.. (showing the child)..and this is my only baby Rian, Rian Anderson Grey. Sorry, I have forgot to ask you, your name."
The girl smiles a little for the very first time which amuses the admirer in Damien - "Myself, Raima Gupta! By the way it's okay we both have not introduced ourselves before as the situation has been tensed then."
Then she once again looks at Rian with a smile and leaves from there quickly by excusing herself. As soon as she leaves, Damien makes a call. Meanwhile, all the college students are gawking at Damien who is too busy to notice this. After ordering his personal guard to be around her all the time and in any emergency to inform him and most importantly, to give him her all details of her daily activities, he turns with a smile towards his car to leave.
