Sofia's POV
The federal charges against me were comprehensive enough to end my career and send me to prison for the next decade. Conspiracy, wire fraud, violation of privacy laws, computer intrusion, each count carrying years of potential prison time.
But as I sat in my attorney's office reviewing the indictment, all I could think about was a pregnant woman somewhere in Colorado who had no idea what was coming for her.
"Sofia, you need to focus," my lawyer, David Kim, said for the third time. "The government is offering a plea deal. Cooperation in exchange for reduced charges."
"Cooperation meaning what?"
