  Nate   I FINISHED the climb and dropped onto the mat, letting the last of the tension drain out of my shoulders in a controlled exhale. I reached for my water bottle, took a slow sip, and was just considering another set when footsteps approached behind me.   Silas arrived at the gym with a folder tucked under his arm, his expression already set in that careful neutrality he used whenever he had something he knew would matter.   "Boss, the investigation you requested is complete," he said, placing the files beside me.   I didn't answer right away.
