  HAZEL’S POV   The moment those words slipped out of my mouth, I regretted it instantly. I could feel eyes on me, and that made me feel like a cornered mouse. My eyes flickered to Celeste and the horrified look on her face made my heart drop.   Nausea poked at my stomach, as I tried to think of a way to salvage the situation, but as I heard the chair scraping the floor, I lost all hope.
