HAZEL’S POV The cell doors creaked open, the loud noise rousing me from my slumber. My body ached as I pushed myself up from the ground, my vision blurring as my eyes slid open. Rubbing my eyes, my gaze landed on two guards, walking up to me. “Get up,” one of them growled. I began to shuffle back, my eyes darting my guard to guard. “What do you want? Leave me alone!” I screamed at the top of my lungs. The guards ignored my screaming and grabbed my arm. They both pulled me up and began to drag me out of the cell. Anxiety, fear, these emotions ran through my entire being. Where were they taking me? Why was I being dragged out of this cell? Fear made my body act on its own.
