Chapter 4: Power Means Nothing

I woke up in Xander's arms. Most mornings I am alone and I am ok with that because I know I won't get hurt that way but I know what happen last night and I am scared that Xander will leave me for his mate like everyone else did I know I will get hurt again but for some reason I go back to him every time. I turn around to watch him sleep because he always looks so peaceful when he sleeps but I look at something else and I am shocked because its a Demon watching me and Xander. The demon looks sad then it sees me and smiles then its gone. That's not something you see everyday but I look back Xander and see he is looking at me.

"Good morning beautiful" Xander says

"Good morning Xander" I say

"What not good morning baby I mean we are dating till one of us find our mate or you leave me again" Xander says sad now.

"Good morning Baby" I say and he is happy again.

"I am going to take a shower why don't you go check on your sister I know she is dying to know who you was with last night" I say and kiss his cheek.

"Ok baby I will be at the meeting after I check on my sister oh and baby can she come you know my mother hates us" Xander said/asked

"Yes she can come I think it will be good for my little brother to have someone of his age there anyway plus she could be of help" I said

"Ok baby and thanks again" Xander said

After that I take a shower and get dressed in my black shirt and my black pants with my chains hanging. I put my black boots on with my black leather jacket and my black beanie to top my look off. Then I head to my office. Everyone is already there but two people I wait for Xander and his little sister.

"Who are we waiting on" My mother asked

"Xander and his little sister why" I said/asked

"Just wanted to know" My mother said

"Ok" I said

"Sissy" I hear Alice say

"Hi Alice how are you doing" I asked

"I am doing better now that you are here sissy" Alice said

"That's good but Alice I have someone I want you to meet" I said

"Who sissy" Alice asked

"Lucas come here" I said

"I want you to met Alice and Alice this is my little brother Lucas I was telling you about last time I was here" I said

"Sissy you didn't tell me he was cute" Alice said

"Sis you didn't tell me she was beautiful" Lucas said

"Well why don't you two go over there to the other table and talk" I said

"Ok" Alice and Lucas said in unison

"There so cute together" My aunt said

"Ya but I think the older two are fair more cute together then the younger ones" My mother said

"Ya your right" My mamaw said

"Can we stop talking about who I am with and start this meeting" I said

"Nope because The Moon Goddess and Hades ain't here yet" My papaw said

"They should have already been here" I said getting pissed.

"Who should have already been here" Hades said

"You and The Moon Goddess" I said

"Your just mad because everyone was talking about who you are with" The Moon Goddess said

"Nope I am pissed because I want to day over with remember I have school tomorrow" I said with my evil smirk

"You know you don't have school you have training tomorrow" My aunts mate said

"You are dumb she called training school because its just like school" My aunt said

"Oh" My aunts mate said

"Sissy can you turn the tv on for us so we don't have to listen to the meeting if we don't want to" Alice said

"Yes I can sweetheart" I said then I get out of Xander's lap and turn the tv on tom and jerry for them Alice and Lucas sit there looking at the tv and don't move. Its makes everyone laugh. I then go back to my sit and sit.

"Hades I have something I want to know" I said and he just looks at me.

"What is it" Hades asked

"How many Demons is there in this realm" I asked

"Over 2,000 and something why" Hades said/asked

"Just wanting to know is all" I said

"Ok" Hades said

"Cora me, you, and Hades needs to talk without anyone around" The Moon Goddess said

"Ok" I said

"Now back to the matter at hand My father" I said

"We know when you turn 15 you will have to kill him and his father and his mother but what else do we need to know that you are keeping from us" My mother said

"He sent people to take me so Lucas can take my crown even though I plan to give Lucas the crown when he turns 15 my father thinks that I ain't going to give Lucas the crown so he wants me out of the picture but that's all I got as of right now do any of you have anything" I said/asked

"I do" Lucas said we all look at him and see Alice cuddled up to him.

"Aww and what do you have" I said/ asked

"Our father said that you was a monster and you would hurt people" Lucas said

"You want to know why he calls me a monster" I said

"Yes" Both Alice and Lucas said in unison

"Because I saved his ass from being killed by one of his loyal Alphas that wants him dead" I said

"But why call you a monster because of that you saved him" Alice asked

"Because the alpha was our fathers brother and I killed him to save our father I was only 10 when I got my first kill and that was our fathers baby brother" I said

"Would you kill me" Lucas asked and I laugh

"No because I know you are not evil like our father and because I know how your future will play out" I said which shocked everyone but The Moon Goddess and Hades.

"Can you tell me sissy" Lucas asked

"No I can't tell you what will come but I can say you will have very good life" I said

"Can you see what your future holds" Alice asked

"No I can't but I know everyone else's future and everyone in here with have a good life" I said

"What's the plan to take your father out" The Moon Goddess asked

I showed everyone what the plan was.

"There is only one thing I didn't count on" I said

"What's that sweetheart" My mother asked I just look at my mother and she knows.

"That I would become Queen of the vampires and the Witches before my plan took place" I said but everyone knew thats not what I mean by that the only person that didn't know the truth was Xander and that's because he meets his mate and I don't.

"Well thats a plus because all the Vampires and the Witches will have your back plus I think they are happier then all of us because they party till the sun was up" My mamaw said

"Ya I know it is a plus and I also know they party till the sun was up" I said smiling

"What else is there to go over" My mother said

"Nothing really everyone knows plan A and plan B" I said

"I think its time me and Hades talks to Cora alone now" The Moon Goddess said

"Ya I think it is to" I said and everyone started leaving.

Xander give me a kiss and said to text him when we was done so me, him, Alice, and Lucas can hang out. I said ok and everyone was gone.

"Why did you ask me how many Demons was in this realm and I want the truth" Hades said/ asked

"I woke up to a demon watching me and Xander sleep but they looked sad like they lost something" I said

"That's your mate Cora they wasn't supposed to find you this fast" Hades said

"There my mate" I said in shock

"Yes I am your mate I come to she who our new Queen would be and find my mate with someone else" The new person said in a cold voice

"Noah that's no way to talk to your mate that you was supposed to meet when she was 15 and not 13" Hades said in and even colder voice.

"Its fine Hades let him talk to me anyway he wishes because I know for a fact that he has been with another Demon before he was in my room this morning so really it can go both ways" I said in very very cold voice Hades looked at me while Noah looks shocked but I didn't look at him at all.

"I guess your Demon finally come in this morning" Hades said

"Yes she did and she was very very pissed this morning to find out her mate was with another but then I told her so was we but we didn't f**k him and she told me he did" I said with my evil smirk

"Well Noah I would stay I am sorry but I ain't because you pissed your Queen off not me" Hades said

"Cora Rose Yearwood do you take the crown for the Demon" The Moon Goddess said

"Yes I do" I said

"Do you Cora Rose Yearwood swear to uphold our laws and to protect the people until your last breath" Hades said

"Yes I do" I said

"Well Cora you are now the Demon Queen and anyone who f***s with you will die" Hades said

"You told me we was getting a King not a fuckin 13 year old Girl" Noah said

"If only you knew what this 13 year old girl was capable of you shut up and sit down" I said

"What is a child capable of that I ain't" Noah said

"You think we should stop this before she kills him" The Moon Goddess said to Hades

"Nope he bring this on himself" Hades said

"I can kill you before you can get back to your w***e" I said

"Ya right like I believe you kid" Noah said

I did my evil laughed then I did my evil smirk and I was in front of him and had him up against the wall before he could do anything and I was stronger then him which made me laugh again.

"Don't ever underestimate your opponent again it can get you kill it don't matter if they are 13 or 18 I killed at 10 and I am only getting stronger every day" I said

"I told you he bring it on himself" Hades said again

"Ya your right but what I don't understand is the mate bond didn't affect her" The Moon Goddess said

"So I wasn't the only one that seen that" Hades said

"Its because I can turn my emotions off" I said

"Oh damn she could have killed him" Hades said

"Where is our new Queen Noah" Someone I didn't know said

"Cora is our new Queen and she has already beat me so don't f**k with her James" Noah said

"I would listen to Noah if I was you James you don't see the red mark she left" Hades said

"Oh damn she did beat your ass and your our best warrior" James said and I just rolled my eyes they was all looking at me when I did that.

"That's your best warrior I know girls that can block my attack better then that jackass ever could" I said in a cold voice

"Noah you pissed our Queen off you dumbass" James said

"I want to see was she was capable of" Noah said

"You forgot she is also your mate Noah" Hades said

"You to tell me you pissed your mate off and she did that to you I love her already" James said and come to hug me I let him because I was done with this meeting already.

"Is there anything else we need to talk about I have a little brother, little sister and a boyfriend to hangout with" I said with no emotion on my face and a cold voice. Noah hissed at me.

"We have a few more things then we will let you go" The Moon Goddess said

"Cora James is your 2nd in command and Noah is your 3rd in command" Hades said laughing

"f**k I though I wouldn't have to deal with your dumbass for a while any ways James is there is thing to report" I said with no emotion on my face still.

"No Your Majesty but I when do you want everyone to move" James said

"That can be put of till I turn 15 oh s**t I am 14 today f**k" I said and got up and went to my desk and started looking for something when I find it I looked at the Moon Goddess and turn the tv on and started my work to find out want my father was up to.

"I don't care what you have to do I want the b***h dead" My father said

"Yes your Majesty" My fathers beta said and looked right at me a few minutes later I got a phone call.

"What can I do for you Beta" I said

"Your father wants you dead I had to send assassins after you" My fathers beta said

"Ok thanks I got this be safe" I said and hung up. I called my mother.

"I need you, papaw and mamaw in my office like five minutes ago" I said and hung up again they come in.

"What happen" My mother said

"I need everyone in hiding now even you papaw and mamaw my father sent a fuckin assassin to kill me" I said and they left once that was done I got ready. Galaxy, Blaze, and Strom showed themselves.

"Its time little one" Galaxy said

"I know its time that's why I have everyone hiding" I said

"You knew this was coming didn't you" Blaze said

"Yes I did" I said

"But you didn't think it would be on your 14th birthday" Strom said and she has Noah looking at her because she was a demon/ witch.

"Your right" I said

"Ok" Galaxy, Blaze, and Strom said in unison then come back to my body.

I looked at the Moon Goddess and nodded.

"I Goddess of the Moon give you Cora Rose Yearwood all your powers early because your father is a evil man" The Moon Goddess said

"I King of the Underworld give you Cora Rose Yearwood the gift of a Demon by the name of Strom who will become one with your Witch who also is named Strom" Hades said

It hurt like hell but I stayed standing with no emotion on my face. I cant say the same for Galaxy, Blaze, and Strom though.

"She did that like a God" The Moon Goddess said

"Because she is more powerful then what we though" Hades said

"You mean more of a b***h then you though" Noah said

"I wouldn't say that if I was you" Hades said

"What that my mate is a fuckin b***h" Noah said

"You just f****d up dude" James said

"Thank you Noah I know I am a b***h but at least I ain't no w***e like you because sweetheart I was r***d and rejected at 13 and I kill some one at 10 who was family after that I was called a monster and beat by my father, my grandfather, and grandmother on my fathers side of the family do you really think I wouldn't kill you just because your my mate I turn my emotions on and off" I said shocking Noah and James.

"Oh damn your really did it this time" James said

"Oh and the guy that was in my bed this morning has been my shoulder to cry on and I did f**k him once but we was both drunk so do something for me and stay the f**k out of my life" I said and was about to walk away from him when I seen the assassin shot a gun so I took the bullet for him. Then killed the assassin.

"f**k she has been shot" Hades said

"I am fine" I said then took the bullet out and started the healing for it.

"You was just shot your Majesty you ain't fine" James said

"I am fine because the bullet wasn't meant for me it was meant for Noah" I said

"Oh thanks for saving my life Your Majesty" Noah said

"You maybe an asshole but I swear to protect my people because that's what a Queen does until there last breath" I said and walk away from them I know they will go back home and so will The Moon Goddess and Hades. I knew my father will send more so I told his Beta to just tell him the assassin killed me.

I went back in my office and everyone had left I called my mother and told her it was safe for everyone to come out of hiding and that I needed the family in my office. Once everyone was in the office and in there seats.

"I was killed by an assassin today in the werewolf kingdom" I said and James showed up but no one seen him.

"So when Your mother goes home you was kill from an assassin shooting you and your brother is learning how magic affects a wolf" My papaw said

"Yes and James what do you need" I said scaring everyone.

"Your Majesty I have a report for you from Noah he said he would of give it to you but he had something to do" James said

"He is probably fuckin some w***e can you tell me about it please" I said

"Yes Noah said that the Demon warriors training is coming along nicely since you give him some pointers and that I was to give you this note but he wants you to read it when your alone Your Majesty" James said

"Thank you James when you see Noah tell him to make it easier on both of you I want a report every Friday James you can bring the report for the both of you that way I know the Demon kingdom is protected and at least one high ranked member is in the kingdom please and thank you" I said

"I will Your Majesty do you need anything else" James said

"No James your free to go" I said

"Thanks Your Majesty" James said and left.

"f**k" I said with my head down.

"Sweetheart what happen" My mother said in our mind link.

"I met my mate and he pissed me off and I snapped on him and told him to just stay out of my life I even called him a w***e mom" I said in our mind link

"Oh sweetheart give him time he will come around" My mother said in our mind link

I just showed my mother everything from me seeing my mate in my room this morning to me telling him everything even where I took a bullet for him and what I said after I took it.

"Well sweetheart I see why you said everything you did and I see where you are coming from but I also know you hurt him badly" My mother said in our mind link

"I know I did mom and I feel bad for it but I am going to give him time" I said in our mind link

"We will finish this in the morning I want some sleep" I said Xander followed and I let him I need a shoulder to cry on.

"Xander can I sleep alone tonight Its been a long day and I don't know if I am going to be needed in the Demon kingdom tonight I don't want to wake you if I am" I said

"Its ok baby I understand get some sleep" Xander said and left.

Once Xander left I wanted to read the note so I did. Your Majesty (Cora),

I am sorry I was an asshole and don't feel bad for putting me in my place. You are the Queen I am just your 3rd in command I had no right to do what I did mate or not you was right I should have got to know you before I did what I did but I didn't I just though you was a w***e. I am going to stay a way from you till your 15 so I am giving you a year then I will come back and we can try this again. I also need the year to work on my self. I hope you don't hate me.

"I know you are here for an answer Noah so come out and i will give you an answer" I said

"How did you know I was your Majesty" Noah said

"That's for me to know and you to not find out but to answer your question, yes, we can start again when I am 15 so you have a year and I have a year to work on ourselves now if you don't mind I am going to take a shower and clean my shoulder because I didn't heal it all the way it would have made me pass out" I said

"Can I help you with anything" Noah asked

"Can you help me to stand in the shower if you don't want to I can get someone else" I said

"I will help Your Majesty" Noah said

"Thanks" I said

I got up and walk to the shower and underdressed and got in Noah followed shortly after I did.

"Mom make sure no one bothers me" I said in our mind link then cut it I knew she would know what that meant.

Not in and minute after I got in I had to lay my head on Noah chest because I got light headed.

"I am sorry but I am light headed" I said

"Its ok mate I mean Cora" Noah said

I looked up at him because he was taller then me.

"Can I ask you something" I asked

"If I asked you to kiss me would you or would tell me no" I asked

"Well if I am being honest I would Because I was holding back from kissing you this morning when you had me up against the wall" Noah said

"Why didn't you kiss me it would have calmed me down even if I had my emotions off" I asked we was still looking in each others eyes. I also knew Hades was here to watching us he wanted us to do what we was thinking while was to f**k then cuddle all night till morning, then Noah would leave and we would have to wait a year to see each other again.
