Chapter 10: The Calm Before The Storm

I woke up to fighting. So I got up and got dressed. I walked to where the fighting was. I seen the rogue demon trying to get to me.
"Stop " I yelled over everyone.
Everyone stopped what they was doing and the Rogue demon come to me and kneeled at my feet.
"YOUR MAJESTY PLEASE FORGIVE ME BUT I WANT DEATH AND I KNEW IF I COME TO YOU THAT YOU WOULD KILL ME NO QUESTIONS ASKED BUT EVERYONE THOUGH I WAS GOING TO KILL YOU I JUST WANT TO BE WITH MY MATE I KNOW I DON'T HAVE A 2ND CHANGE MATE HADES AND THE MOON GODDESS SAID SO" The Rogue demon said
"Follow me" Was all I said
I took him to the training field.
"Do you want to die slowly or fast" I asked
"Fast" The rogue demon said
"Then answer one question for me" I said
"Ok what is it your Majesty" The rogue demon said
"Who is this and who are they to you" I asked when a women come out from behide me.
"Thats my mate" The rogue demon said
"Then why do you want death because last time I checked your mate is very much alive" I said
"But I watch her die" The Rogue demon said
"You watched a vampire kill her right" I asked
"Yes and a witch tried to kill me" The rogue demon said
"I am going to be honest with you it never happened and I can show you want really happen" I said
After I said that he come to me and I showed him what really happened that day.
"My son was killed not my mate" The rogue demon said
"Yes but he wasn't killed by a vampire and a witch didn't try to kill you" I said
"Then who was it" The rogue demon asked
"An assassin killed your son and tried to kill you" I said
"How do you know this" The rogue demon asked
"Because the assassin that killed your son tried to kill Noah and me" I said
The rogue demon looked at his mate. They kissed and walked away.
"How did you know that" Noah asked
"Because I read the assassin's mind before I killed her" I said
I walked back to mine and Noah's room with Noah following. The assassin's phone was going off.
"She-Devil I have a job for you and I know this ain't black-night" The man on the other side of the phone said
"How do you know this ain't her" I asked
"Because she wasn't as good as you She-Devil" The man who I guess is Boss said
"I see you finally figured it out" I said
"Yes I have so are you my new assassin" The Boss said
"Yes I am" I said
"Good I will text you the detail of your job but I need it done tonight" The Boss said
"Ok" I said and hung up.
"Your an assassin now" Noah said
"I had to do it. Its the only way I can protect you and both of my kingdoms" I said
"I know it is but I didn't think you would do it I figured you would make someone else do it" Noah said
"I can't trust people to do what I can do better" I said
"Cora you know you could get killed" Noah said
"I can't fuckin die. I have tried to kill myself and I have tried to get people to kill me" I said
"I cant lose you have someone else do it" Noah said
"I would love to have someone else do it but where I can't die there is no point in having someone who can die doing it and if I did do that would mean I am putting my people at risk of getting killed because someone took a deal for money" I said
"I take it my son knows now" Hades said
"Yes" I said
"What do you mean you can't die" Noah said
"I have to out live you so when the Gods and Goddess seen I was going to try to kill myself they made it to where I can't die until they want me to die" I said looking at Hades.
"So you have the same problem as me" Noah said
"Yes I do but the only thing is you can feel pain I can't" I said still looking at Hades.
"What do you want father" Noah asked
"I need a place to stay for the night" Hades said
"Your mate is pissed of at you why" I asked
"I ummm did a thing and yeah" Hades said
"So you pissed your mate off again and want me to help you so you don't have to go home oh hell no you pissed her off I am not going to have her mad at me to go home Hades" I said
"Thank you Cora now I see why the other Gods and Goddess made you my sons mate you won't even let my mate stay with you even if he was going to get killed by his own mate you would rather save you and my son from me then let him stay with you" Persephone said from behind Hades.
I knew it was a set up by the way Hades had talked I wasn't dumb but I ever said I was smart either.
"You set my mate up mother really" Noah said
"Baby your mother just wanted to see if I was the right mate for you there is no harm in that but I hate to leave but I have a mission to go on that has to be done by 12:00 tonight I am an assassin after all but only for my people and mate I can't feel pain like everyone else anyways and what better way to use that then to protect my mate and people" I said and got in my all black clothes but without the chains and got my weapons on.
"You know child there is a better way to protect your people and mate then to become an assassin" Hades said
"Well Hades I would say your right but I am already going to hell anyways" I said with a small smile and laughed
"You know she is right but she don't kill innocents like most assassins do she only kills the ones who has done wrong" Persephone said I knew why she said this but I didn't want to tell her I have hurt innocent people before but that was because my father told me if I didn't he was going to kill my mother.
Hades looked at me because he seen the saddest in my eyes but I turned my emotions off before anyone else could see it.
"My love I will be back before you wake up if anyone asked where I am I went on a run I don't want anyone to know about this I was going to tell you when I got my next mission but you was in the room when I got it" I said
"Ok baby be safe" Noah said
After that I left to do my mission.
(Noah's Pov.)
I couldn't believe My Cora was an assassin.
"Your an assassin now" I said
"I had to do it. Its the only way I can protect you and both of my kingdoms" Cora said
"I know it is but I didn't think you would do it I figured you would make someone else do it" I said
"I can't trust people to do what I can do better" Cora said
"Cora you know you could get killed" I said

"My love I will be back before you wake up if anyone asked where I am I went on a run I don't want anyone to know about this I was going to tell you when I got my next mission but you was in the room when I got it" Cora said

After that Cora left.
"You know she is only doing this to protect you" My mother said
"But why I can't lose her not now" I said
"My son she can't die because like she said she is suppose to out live you so she can train yalls child to be a great warrior like you and her but when you and her fully mate you will be just as strong as her or stronger then her" My father said
"Father there is always someone who could kill her and no one would know" I said and my mother laughed
"You want to see want she is doing and what we mean by she can't die then come here" My mother said
I walked to her she touched my face. I seen Cora as a 11 year old with her father telling her to kill someone who was innocent and when she didn't he told her he was going to kill her mother then I seen her in her room with a knife cutting herself so she could kill herself then I seen my father take her in his arms with all the other Gods and Goddess there when they all said "it would be best if we make it to where she can't die because at this rate she kill herself and we can't have that just yet we need her to meet your son Hades" my father then said "If we do that then she will live with hate for us all we can't do that to her because she will have to live with all those innocent lives she had to take because of her father" a God I have not seen said "we can't have her kill herself Hades we have to do this and everyone but you and your mate agree with him so we are doing this". I can't see anymore so I pulled away.
"I can't see anymore all the Gods and Goddess are monsters in her eyes and now I see why they made her go though all that for what because she is my mate" I said
"Now you see why she is doing this and you don't even know what all she has been though" My father said with sadest in his eyes.
"Why did they do this to her" I asked
"Because she was made to be your mate but what no one knows you all have till your child is 18 before you both are killed to take over hell" My mother said
"Everyone said she has to get pregnant at 15" I said
"She dose get pregnant but she loses the baby and she will lose 2 more after that then she will have a child" My father said
"Why" I asked
"Because as a baby she was cursed she can't have a child till she loses 3" My mother said
"Who cursed her and why" I asked
"A witch did she fore seen what would happen so to give you and her more time together she cursed her but the witch made it to where she can't get pregnant for 2 years after she loses a child but that's where the witch fore see what would happen after she had the child and so the witch cursed both of you if something was to happen to you, Cora and the child would die to the witch will step up to the Gods and Goddess to tell them when Cora loses the first baby that when she does have a child that all of you will die unless the child is 18" My father said
"Who else knows of this" I ask
"Only me and your father and now you but you have to tell Cora for us" My mother said
"I can't tell Cora not right now it will devastate her so I will tell here when the time is right" I said
"You are only 16 Noah and Cora is only 14 you have time but please don't wait to long and you and Cora will be going to the demon high school even though Cora is being homeschooled at the moment her mother will put her in school before she leaves and Cora is in the same grade as you, James, and Josh" My father said
"What do you mean by Cora is in the same grade as me, James, and Josh" I asked.
"She is doing her school online which well mean she will be in your, James, and Josh grade but its also because she is really smart" My mother said
"Oh s**t she is going to hear about the fact that me, James, and Josh is the Bad Boys of Demon high that got the titles which is James 2nd in command and Me 3rd in command with Josh as head warrior" I said
"Well son Cora has already got that Bad Girl title because she beat your ass and she ain't even been to school yet so I would get her to be your girlfriend before you step feet in the school" My father said laughing
"Well I got to get some sleep I have a meeting with Cora" I said
"Ok goodnight Noah" My mother and father said in unison
After they left I told James and Josh that Cora would be coming to our school. Then I fell asleep.
