The Dark Prince

At twenty-one Josh was the oldest of his siblings, He had silver hair and violet eyes, he was tall at eight-two. He stood there and watched the young girl who was just told he was her betrothed, he had known since he was ten who she was to him, and he thought she knew as well, but by the look of shock on her face this was the first she has heard of him. He closed his eyes and thought back to the first day he met her all those years ago, she was so young and beautiful even then. He told his father then that was who he wanted as his wife when it was time for him to take over the family. 

 No one knows who or what the Carlisi family really is, his younger siblings know what they are but don’t know how high up their family is. The Carlisi Family is one of the last royal families left of what the humans would call Vampire World, but he just called it The Dark World.  He was to take over being King of the Dark World soon as he married. He told his siblings he would come back for their graduation but they only thought he was here till after their graduation in two months' time. What they didn’t know was he was back for good, as his Father was ready to retire and hand over the reign to him and his new bride. With that thought he looked back at the beauty before him. 

“ y..you can’t be serious Father?” she said “ I am just seventeen, I’m too young to even think about getting married more less be betrothed to someone” Josh looked over at her Father  “ May I?” he asked.  “ of course my son” the Father replied. Josh looked at Jalissa and smiled  “ come with me “ he turned and walked off, sure she was going to follow him and sure enough she did. 

When they stepped outside of the home, he took a deep breath before turning and looking at her, he was almost a foot taller so he had to look down at her. “ I know this is a lot to take in Jalissa, but we are betrothed to one another” she opened her mouth to speak but he just held up his hand and stopped her “ no listen, in three months you will become my wife, it is what I was promised by your Father. “ 

“MY FATHER!?” she screamed 

“Yes your Father, Jalissa, See what most don’t know is the Carlisi Family is “ he looked around before speaking once again “ we are special, if you can say that, I need a strong woman by my side, if I am to rule over my people.” 

“Rule? Your People? What.. Who.. Who are you?” she finally asked 

“ I am soon to be King of the Dark World, and you my love will be my Queen” 

Shaking her head “ no..no.. no” she looked up at “ Dark World? Queen? I can not be a Queen of anything. I am only seventeen and your what twenty five? I am to young for you and for your people” 

Josh chuckled “ I am only twenty-one and I just turned that age, and you will be eighteen right after you graduate which is legal in all states” he waved his hands “ and anyway it wouldn’t matter, you was promised to me and I will take what is mine” he moved so fast she barely saw him move and pushed her against the wall, planting his hands behind her blocking her from moving he leaned down where he was face to face, inches from hers. Before whispering “ and you, Jalissa, Future Queen of The Dark World, is just that…. MINE!” he growled the last word before pressing his lips against her hard.. Forcing a gasp out of her , he used that to move his tongue inside, he kissed her roughly before pulling back and looking at her, she looked shocked before her face turned to anger and she brought her hand up and slapped him hard enough to move him back.. 

“If you ever.. Ever try that again I will.. I will ..”   

You will what, love?” 

“ I will tell my father what you did and this will be off” 

Josh chuckled “ go ahead, your father has kept you pure because I asked him too, you need to be a virgin on our wedding night, or the curse won’t hit you after we consummated our vows.” 

She looked up at him in anger and shock “ I will never marry you!” she pushed at him which he was not prepared for, and she took off running not into the house but to the woods behind it.. Josh straightened his clothes before sighing and shaking his head. He took a step to go after her then stopped and smiled, she would come back soon, after all this was her home.. He turned and walked back in the door, smiling at his younger siblings, they was both just staring at him “ Go get her” he told them. They looked at each other then quickly ran out the door after her. He didn’t know that all three of them have became close friends. He looked back at his parents and his soon to be father in law walking up to the group he smiled and chuckled softly. Her father looked behind him then up at him “ where did she run off to”  Josh just smiled and said “ I am not sure after our talk she took off” he looked over at his parents “ excuse me Father and Mother, I am gonna head out, i still have to finish the plans”  he looked back at Jalissa father, and tilted his head as the mans face was getting red. He thought to himself, he needed to watch that man”
