Lexie leaned against the hut and pushed the loose hair off her forehead as a sigh leaked from her mouth. Coming down off a confrontation always left her weak and exhausted, and she still had hours to go on her shift at The Straw. “You’re okay?” Sasha asked. “I’m fine.” Lexie was about as far from fine as a person could get, but she didn’t know what else to say.
