Alex POV After a few hours of combing through their belongings, I went back home, while the others stayed to finish. When I got to the room, Bella was awake and chatting with the two men I stationed in the room. “You’re back. Are you okay?” she asks, running over to me. I nod at the guards and they silently leave the room. “I am okay, just angry and sad. I hate having to tell a family that they have lost a loved one.” I answer as I hold her tightly. “I don’t have a trial tomorrow. I will go with you. We will do this together. I am so sorry for your loss, Alex. I know you knew all of them personally,” she says, cupping my face. “Thank you, I could use the support. Daniel’s mom is going to be the hardest. He graduated last year, and he had his whole life ahead of him,” I say and sigh. S
