Chapter Three - Jade.

I waited a few moments after he left and then decided no matter what the future held I was not going to face it greasy and smelling of coffee so I marched out down the corridor to the bathroom.

I opened the door and Oh wow!

There was a floor to ceiling wooden framed window covering one wall, in front of it was a huge bath with stone steps leading up to it, it could easily fit four people. On the other side of the bathroom was a walk in shower that once again was huge, it had jets coming out in all different directions and also a rain shower.

On the far wall was Jack and Jill Stone sinks and the toilet.

I found the towels on a shelf and grabbed a couple of fluffy black ones, I eyed the bath longingly but decided a shower would be quicker for now but promising myself a date with that bath.

There was a knock at the bathroom door, I tiptoed across the bathroom and opened the door a crack peeking out I saw Kane stood with some clothes in his hands "Here this should do for tonight, I will sort out other things tomorrow for you" he passed me the items, before I could say a word he was walking away back downstairs.

Dressing quickly while sighing wondering if they were Athena's clothes if they were we must be the same size because it was all a perfect fit, it smelled clean and new too. I found the toothpaste to clean my teeth

and brushed my hair and left to go find Kane.

When back downstairs I opened a door off the hallway and had a nose to see inside, it was the lounge/living room. The room was cosy with a big fireplace, a couple of leather sofas and book shelves all around that I would like to investigate later. Quietly closing the door I headed back to the kitchen, Kane wasn't in there. There was large wooden doors that must lead to the back garden open and I could hear Kane talking quietly to someone, time to meet Athena I guess.

The garden was beautiful, there was little fairy lights hanging from fruit trees lighting everything up.

A little pond with a small waterfall was quietly trickling away and on the patio by the doors was a grill which was sizzling away cooking what smelled like steaks.. yummy and speaking of yummy there was Kane sat at the table which was laid for two people sipping a glass of wine.

I looked about why was it set for two people, what about Athena and who was he talking to?

"Here, take a seat" He pulled out the chair opposite him and poured me a glass of red wine.

I took a sip and glanced around suspiciously, wondering where the mysterious Athena was and why she hadn't introduced herself yet.
