Chapter Five - Jade.

Kane smiled wickedly and turned me around on his lap so I was facing the direction the man was coming from, he pulled the straps of my dress down exposing my breasts and fondled them.

"Sorry about that Eric, we were just enjoying some morning sun" Kane smiled at the man, my face was beetroot red from embarrassment over what we had just done in front of the poor unknowing man.

As soon as Eric finished unloading the supplies and left I turned and smacked Kane on his chest, he grabbed my hand kissing my palm and looked at me intensely "You are mine, I can't seem to get enough of you" he looked confused as he said this.

I let my fingers trail across his jaw and leaned forward to kiss his lips "I feel the same, I feel like I've known you longer" I chuckled shaking my head at the madness of it all.

My tummy growled and I giggled "Come on Mr Brute let's get all this inside I'm starving" I bent over to grab the basket of vegetables and felt a large hand slap my ass, "I told you my name is Kane" I whirled around and poked my tongue out at him. Kane laughed and then started bringing the delivery that Eric brought inside.

We worked side by side putting everything away like it was the most natural thing in the world.

"So what's for lunch?" I asked eyeing the abundance of vegetables and salad stuff that had been collected from the garden.

"I thought we could have a snack now and for tonight I was going to do roast lamb with vegetables Athena will be home and it is her favourite" Kane smiled happily while he started preparing a plate of cheeses and cold meats, my stomach dropped I felt comfortable with just Kane and me here and I didn't want to share him with this Athena whoever she was.

"Would you like to eat outside?" Kane's voice broke me out of my thoughts, I smiled at him and helped him carry everything outside.

We sat at the table and I nibbled on some olives, my appetite was gone and I didn't feel like eating anymore. Kane poured us both a glass of homemade raspberry lemonade, I took a sip savouring the taste it was sweet and refreshing.

"Why are you so quiet, is something worrying you?" Kane asked looking at me concerned.

"I was just thinking things will be different when Athena gets here, it's silly but I feel comfortable here just you and me" I shrugged and fiddled with my napkin, Kane moved his chair closer and held my hand rubbing circles on the back of it with his thumb "I'm glad you feel comfortable with me here, when Athena arrives things won't change she does her own thing and she will love you."

"Is she a witch?" I asked wanting to know more about her, he choked on his drink laughing "Athena a witch? No she definitely is not a witch, it's hard to explain it's better for you to meet her."

I picked at some cheese and ham and we chatted about my life before I met him, I explained that it was boring and repetitive. I told him I was an only child and my parents died in a fire when I was sixteen and from then on I lived alone moving from job to another to make ends meet. He was shocked when he heard I had never been to the beach or seen the sea and that I'd never seen snow.

In return he told me his parents lived here in the supernatural realm, he had two younger brothers and a twin sister.

We chatted and I laughed as he told me stories of his brothers antics, he said they were trouble makers and always getting into trouble for spells they did as pranks on different beings here.

From the way he spoke about his family I could tell he cared about them deeply and they were a close family. My heart longed for that too. I had been alone so long and wanted nothing more then a family to love and look after.

We cleared the table then went inside and as we washed up together, he asked what my hopes and dreams for the future were, I didn't need to think about it I immediately told him what my dream had been since I was a little girl "I want to live on a farm with lots of animals, grow my own food and have four or five children, maybe even six that's an even number." I noticed he had stopped drying the dishes and turned to see him staring at me with a soft smile on his face "what?" I asked raising an eyebrow at him.

"Nothing it just sounds like we have similar dreams" he stroked my cheek with the back of his hand and then bopped me on the nose with his finger gently.

We finished the dishes in silence, it wasn't an awkward silence it was a silence where you're both comfortable in each others company and happy to just be.

"Can I have a bath please, I saw the big bath and promised myself a date with it" I batted my eyelids at him. Kane grabbed me round the waste and threw me over his shoulder and slapped my ass making me squeal, then ran up the stairs with me towards my bedroom.

He gently put me down on the bed and told me to wait there and then left the room.

I layed back on the bed with a big smile on my face and waited for Kane to return.
