Chapter Six - Jade.

Kane returned and pulled me up off the bed, I followed him to the bathroom. I took one look and squeeled like a kid and jumped at him wrapping my legs round his waist, he caught me with an oof laughing "thank you" I whispered against his lips. The bath was full with bubbles, there was candles lit all around the bath and on the wooden ledge next to the bath was a bottle of champagne cooling with two glasses.

Not taking my eyes off him I stepped out of my dress and then reached to remove his jogging bottoms.

We washed each other and opened the champagne, sipping it and relaxing together.

Kane sighed "It's getting late I should make a start on dinner before Athena gets here, she is close I can sense her."

"You can sense her?" He nodded "Yes we are connected here" he pointed to his heart.

I was even more confused wondering who she was "In that case I will need something to wear, I can't exactly meet her naked" I chuckled, Kane smirked "I wouldn't mind" he eyed me suggestively so I splashed him with water "We have a dinner to cook, come on" I said and reached for his hand to help him out of the bath.

He spoke quietly in the language I didn't understand and a dress appeared hanging on the door "H...how?.." I spluttered, he winked and walked out of the bathroom leaving me stood with my mouth hanging open staring at the beautiful dress.

I noticed once again no underwear and decided he was deliberately not giving me any to wear.

I put the dress on it was red, long and flowed to my ankles with a slit each side that reached to my mid thigh. I really needed to talk to Kane about these clothes hopefully he can magic me up something for my feet and some damn underwear!

I trotted downstairs, Kane was in the kitchen wearing just a pair of shorts. I quietly stood admiring his beauty, he effortlessly moved around the kitchen pulling out ingredients and saucepans.

He turned to grab something and spotted me. He stopped and his eyes roamed up and down my body finally resting on my face, "You look beautiful" he smiled stepping closer and giving me a quick kiss on my lips.

"Thank you, but we really need to talk about underwear and shoes" he sniggered "shoes I can do" he said something I couldn't hear and a pair of ballet flats appeared next to my feet making me jump back in shock. "A little warning would be nice before you do your hoodoo voodoo" I snapped

"Hoodoo voodoo?" He laughed "Yes hoodoo voodoo and while you're at it I need underwear" I popped the shoes on and admired them.

"Sorry no can do, my magic isn't strong enough to make underwear" he turned back to cooking, I raised an eyebrow and walked towards him "You're seriously telling me you can magic up shoes and dresses but not underwear?" He sighed "I know it is tragic but alas we all have weaknesses" he fake pouted.

Laughing I stood on my tippy toes and kissed his cheek, "You are a brute" I winked and moved away quickly before he could grab me.

I got out a chopping board and found a knife "What's first?" I asked tapping my knife impatiently.

Together we prepared an array of vegetables, I seasoned the meat and popped it into the oven to cook slowly.

I set the table for three people and Kane sniggered when he saw the table, he wouldn't tell me what he found funny.

We sat outside near the pond while the food was cooking, enjoying watching the sun go down.

There was a loud howl that sounded too close for comfort and I just about jumped into Kane's lap in fear "Was that a wolf?" I whispered looking around in case some wolf jumped out and decided I was little red riding hood.

Kane laughed "Sort of" was all he said with a big s**t eating grin on his face, the howls got louder and nearer and I clung to Kane for safety.

There was a dark shadow coming slowly closer to back fence of the garden it looked huge, my heart was racing in fear.

"Quit being dramatic Athena!" Kane yelled rolling his eyes and laughing.

Athena....that huge shadow getting closer was Athena?

The shadow speeded up and as it appeared in the lights of the garden I could see it was a huge black wolf, a wolf that was nearly as tall as me.

Her intelligent blue eyes were staring at me as she slowly stalked closer, I stood from Kane's lap and knelt down waiting for her to approach me.She was stunning and now I could see her clearly I felt no fear, instead I felt connected to her like I should know her.

Athena stopped in front of me and licked my face, I laughed because it tickled and wrapped my arms around her neck caressing her silky fur "Hello beautiful" I cooed.
