Maya POV Well, I guess I need to rephrase the part where I said I yelled, I didn’t yell at him, my subconscious mind did, because I didn’t have the balls to do so. “I thought we were going to meet my father. Why do I have to sign the papers?” I asked calmly, and he sighed. “Why can’t you just do as I’ve said without asking questions?” he frowned. “Because I’m not stupid dummy!” I wanted to say, but I smiled dryly instead. “I just wanted to know,” I replied. “Your maid is still at the hospital, I could call them to stop treatment,” he stated, and my eyes widened immediately, and I hurried and shook my head. “I’ll sign the contract!” I half yelled, and I walked to the shelf, took the pen, and I hurriedly signed the papers without even looking at it. Well, I’ve seen the contract before, I don’t think it’s a big deal. “Well, let’s get going,” he stated, and he walked out of the room, and I quickly followed behind. We got out of the building, and we stood in the garage. Specifically, I was staring at torns of cars that were lined up according to their colors. Fuck! I knew my father was not a lesser man, but Andre was the richest man I’ve ever seen. Even the aura around him could tell he’s not someone to be joked with. “Boss, which car are we taking today?” his driver asked, and he sighed, looking at his cars, I could tell he was wondering the right car to pick. Having enough wealth could actually be troublesome, I guess. “The black Ferrari,” he said and the driver nodded as he walked to the car, opened the car door and Andre walked in, while I stood outside, hoping the driver would do same for me, but instead he got into the car and he made a resounding noise with the car, signaling me to get in. I scoffed silently as I walked into the car, and I sat at the back beside Andre. He didn’t spare me a glance, but his scent alone couldn’t keep me settled. I picked on my fingers as I struggled to keep calm. I couldn’t believe he was the same man I kissed yesterday, I couldn’t stop recalling how his body was all over me. He was the first man who ever made me feel that way. “Can you stop being embarrassing?” his cold voice brought me back from my reverie, and I immediately closed my mouth. It was pathetic to think I was staring at him absentmindedly with my mouth widening open. As I turned to face, my eyes widened as I saw a drool over my lips. “f**k,” I mumbled, covering my face in shame. I didn’t have any handkerchief to wipe it out, and I definitely couldn’t use my hands cause that’d only worsen everything. “Here,” I turned to Andre as I slowly took the handkerchief from him, I wiped off the droll and I squeezed the handkerchief in my palm not knowing how to give it back to him. “Throw it out,” he said after a while and the driver winded the window now and I threw it outside. I shifted close to the window and I rested my head on the windscreen, not wanting to embarrass myself any further. Soon, the car drove into my father’s mansion, and as the car came to a stop, I quickly got out, and I tried running into the mansion but the driver caught me immediately. “Ma’am, I’ll advise you not to get the boss angry,” he said, still holding my hands and I sighed as I ranked his hands off mine. The driver quickly opened the door for Andre. “I thought you wanted to run?” Andre asked as he came down. “You can’t Maya, even your father can’t save you from me,” he said and for some reason I loved the way my name sounded from his mouth. I didn’t know if I was hypnotized or something, but I wanted to run away from Andre, and also stay with him at the same time. “Isn’t that crazy?” my subconscious mind asked. I quickly followed Andre as he walked into the mansion. As we got to the living room, I saw my father sitting down, as he waited for us. “Papa,” I yelled happily as I rushed to embrace him, he hugged me back as he stroked my hair. I pulled away after a while and I turned to Andre. “Papa, this man kidnapped me and he’s been hurting me ever since, can you please take me away from him?” I said to my father, hoping he’d take action against Andre, but he didn’t. Instead he avoided the monster’s gaze, his face looking dejected and pale. “I’m sorry Maya,” he apologized and the reality of the situation hit me hard as I subconsciously moved backwards away from him. “Are you really owing him money?” I asked but got no response from him. “And I’m your repaying plan?” “I..I…” he slurred. “The f**k papa! You used me to pay your debts? How dare you!” I yelled and I made to hit him, but his guards were quick to pull me away from him. “I hate you! I hate you papa!” “You liar!” I yelled, as two of his guards held me down tightly. Andre scoffed momentarily and he brought out the paper. “Sign the contract Lucas,” he said to my father who was even scared of staring at him, it was as if he wanted to sheet on himself just by staying close to him. My father fidgeted and he quickly signed the contract with his shaking hands. “From now on Lucas, the debt between us has been cleared. Maya is mine! And if you ever try to take her away from me, you’ll be sorry you ever did!” He laid out his threats and my father nodded immediately. I could feel tears struggling to rush down my eyes, but I was fast to hold it all in, my father don't deserve it. I wouldn’t cry for a heartless man like him. Never! “Let’s go,” Andre’s driver said to me when he noticed I was staring into space absentmindedly and I followed him out of my father’s mansion.
