Andre POV
I sat in my office waiting for her to show up. I know I’m everything bad anyone can describe me as, but I’m not no type who would hurt anyone without a reason. But Maya kept on pushing me to the wall, refusing to let me breathe.
Each twist or turn I took, she was there, like a torn on my flesh, and I just have to remind her I’m her boss, and not the other way around.
I felt so good after hurting her, I mean I’ve never felt so good in a long time, but that didn’t last long, I slowly began to feel terrible that I had to prepare a first aid kit for her, but that dosent mean I’ve forgiven her for what she said.
If I was to turn back the hands of time, I’d gladly do it again and again until it’s stuck in her head now to control her mouth around me;
I sighed as I stared at the paperwork in front of me, I took turns going through each papers and I realized a huge amount of money was missing from my income. This month's income was way poorer than other months.
“What the f**k is going on?” I asked no one in particular as I looked at the amount again, making sure I saw right, but the answer was in the paper, right in front of me.
“Damn it!” I knew this was going to ruined my day, it’ll be a hassle to find out who’s the theif among us.
I specifically selected all the men I wanted involve with my finances myself in order to prevent traitors, but how come this is happening and no one knew about it until I figured it out myself.
It’s been a long time since I did something like this. I guess someone likes to be treated like an animal, and I’d give him just that.
“Caesar!” I yelled loudly and I heard his footsteps as he ran to my office.
“f**k!” I ruffled my hair, as different thoughts on how to punish the traitor ran down my head.
“What the heck is going on!” I yelled as soon as Caesar got in, and I flung the papers on the floor and it landed on his feet.
“What is going on boss!” Caesar asked innocently and I scoffed.
“Feed your eyes yourself!” I retorted, pointing a finger at the papers on the floor.
He hurriedly picked the papers and as he stared at it, his eyes kept on getting wider and wider as the realization hit him hard on how serious the problem is.
“How did this happen?” He asked, but he quickly shook his head and he said. “Boss, I’ll all everyone and figure this out. I promise.”
He quickly tried to leave my office but I stopped him. “Caesar!”
He halted!
“Call everyone in charge of my finance to the main hall,” I said and she stared at me in confusion.
“Boss, you don’t usually involve yourself in situations like this,” he replied.
“I guess I’m involving myself now!” I said and I gave him a deadpan look and he quickly left.
For years I’ve let Caesar handle situations like this, but I guess I’m just looking for an excuse to punish someone, there’s this unending rage inside of me after what I did to Maya, and I just need someone, a scapegoat to pour my anger on.
I stood up from my chair, took my phone, and I made to leave when the door opened and Maya walked in.
“Umm…you asked for me,” she said, an uneasy expression on her face, but i couldn’t care less, atleast not now.
“You came late, I have something to sort out,” I said, walking out.
“Why would you have something else to do after you called me here?” She asked and I sighed, she just dosent learn.
“And why can’t I?” I asked, turning back to look at her but she hurriedly moved backwards.
I stared at her in surprise, wondering why she did that but as I recalled what happened earlier, I scoffed and I walked out.
In no time, I arrived at the main hall and I saw them waiting for me, some were pacing around wondering what was going on, while some just hang around absentmindedly. But as soon as they saw me, they ran to me.
“What’s going on boss?” One of them asked.
“You haven’t called us this way before,” another said, but I ignored as I waited for all of them to come together.
“It has come to my notice that one of you has been stealing from me,” I said and a loud uproar came, everyone was talking and whispering amongst themselves.
Each and everyone of them has something to say about it, but that wasn’t what I’m here for, it isn’t even about the money, it didn’t affect my wealth even a bit, I just wanted someone to pour my frustration on.
“Boss, you know we’d never steal from you,” Aiden spoke.
“This might have been a misunderstanding boss,” Aaron, Aiden's twin brother, chipped in.
“Well, that’s left for me to find out,” I said and Caesar immediately sprang into action.
He had already called the tech guys and those incharge of the cctv footage before I’d arrived.
A table was arranged for them, and they sat down, doing whatever they can to fish out the theif, while I waited impatiently, wanting to get it over and done with.
“Boss, we’ve been able to track the account the money got into,” One of the tech guys said and I smiled dry.
“We’re still working on the footage, but the camera captured a man entering the office, within a few seconds, I’d be able to reveal his face,” The CCTV guys said and I stared at my men.
Some were sweating already, while some tried to be stroked but their expression failed them.
“Whosever comes clean before I figure this out myself, I would give a ligh judgement, perhaps I wouldn’t be too cruel,” I said, and the hall fell silent.
“We’re almost done boss,” The tech guys said.
“This is your last chance to come clean, like I said, I might…” Before I could complete my sentence, I was cut off abruptly.
“He did it! He’s the criminal!” A voice yelled.
