The winter in Northmere was bitterly cold. Jasmine wrapped her wool shawl tighter around herself and sat in a wheelchair, watching the snow fall outside the floor-to-ceiling windows of the rehabilitation center. It had already been two months since she came to Greyvale. The cast on her leg had come off the week before, replaced by a lightweight brace, and Jasper said the recovery was going well, but she still had a long road ahead with rehab.
