Lachlan stood still looking at Halle while she followed closely behind Eli. He was lost in thoughts and couldn’t hear whatever Sarah had to say as she fawned over him.
“Mr. Gray, how was your day? You are home quite early today. Any problem?”
“No problems at all Paula. Sarah is visiting so I had to drop her off.” He managed to smile.
“Very well then. Is there any luggage? I could take them in since I’m done with watering these flowers.”
“Yes.” Sarah replied. “I have a few things in the trunk. Take them to Paula.”
