Breaking the news of the move from the hospital to the human girl was one of the hardest things I had ever had to do in all my years of motherhood. Deceiving people was not my strong suit and as I stood there, intentionally steering the girl towards thoughts that I was familiar with her and that we had known each other before the unfortunate occurrence of her accident felt quite terrible to me, it had taken a great deal of effort for my smiles not to appear forced and choreographed but I had pulled it off successfully and she was over the moon with excitement, I could tell as I left the room that I had made her day and it brought a warm feeling to me to think that I had been the reason that she was so happy, that feeling dampened however at the thought that I had led her on t
