Present Day Helen's POV I was still in the darkness, it was quiet, too quiet, I was quite convinced that with the tiniest ray of light, I could make out some detail at least but there was none. It was so dark that I was confused concerning the state of my eyes, I didn't know whether my eyes were shut or whether there was simply an absence of light. There was a much graver concern in my head, I was questioning the use of my eyes, I was currently wondering if I still had them. There was a tight feeling in my chest, and the panic within me grew when I tried to move my hands, I thought about it, made an effort to execute the thought, and then, nothing. I tried once more, refusing to believe what I felt in my body, refusing to give up on willing my body to respond, this was just a bad dream
