Welford's POV
There were several reasons for me to be happy, chief among them was the fact that Amelia had returned. she looked shaken and disturbed, I didn't know what the reason was but I knew for a fact that she couldn't have found it easy escaping the Nash territory without so much as a scratch even though this was what she was trying to convince me of. I peered at her curiously as she spoke, some part of me wanted to believe her but the story was just too incredible for me to believe, I wanted to counter her on a number of occasions but I kept my cool, listening to her as she narrated the whole event.
According to her, Amanda had let her leave, walking away scot-free, without so much as a punishment for intruding on Nash premises and spying on her son, this was so much unlike Amanda
