Scarlet headed to the river that was just outside the White Tree Village Territory so that she could get her new Kitty cleaned up and do a thorough exam before going back to her little hide-a- cave to suffer on her own until her time was up. Then she could move on freely.

“I owe him a Life Debt for getting me out of the Open. On top of that, he almost died because of it, just adding to that debt. I owe it to him to help him out of the situation that I got him into.” She thought to herself.

Scarlet instructed him to get in the Water, so she could give him a good cleaning and then a thorough examination.

Expecting him to resist or ask questions at the very least, it surprised her when he just went in without a word.

Scarlet helped Travis wash off the spit and cleaned the wounds he got from the various things that were thrown at him. She didn’t get in too deep because the cotton strip would be soaked, and she couldn’t let that happen.

Thinking about him just being in the area while she changed would be humiliating enough to make her die from embarrassment. In fact, One Hundred Miles would not be enough distance for her to feel comfortable enough doing that.

When she was done cleaning him up, he got out and shook the Water off.

As he finished shaking, he looked over at Scarlet, his eyes immediately turned into huge circles, when he saw that she was completely soaked from head-to-toe, as a result of his shaking.

Scarlet laughed and used her Energy to remove the Water from her body, then pulled him over to the shaded area. She told him to change into his Human Form so that she could good look at his wounds. But she didn’t expect him to change so quickly. When he did, what stood before her was a very naked Man.

She didn’t think that when the Males Changed their Forms they would not have clothes on. Standing there in shock for a Minute, just taking in the sights before her. Scarlet finally pulled herself back to reality, and turned around quickly, and used her Energy to bring a piece of cloth to her.

The Earth suddenly formed a pillar hip high in front of Scarlet, delivering a piece of leather that she made from One of the Bores she killed here not long after she had got here, and threw it at Travis’ general direction and said, “Here, could you cover up please.”

There was a Tremendous pain in Travis’ heart that he couldn’t hide in his eyes, coming to realize that he let himself think the impossible: “It was completely stupid to think she would ever like me or my body. But… the way that she stared at me just now. No! It was just my wishful thinking. There is no way that a Female like her would ever be interested in me.”

As he wrapped the cloth around his waist, he only said One word, "Done." Scarlet turned around and saw the pain in his eyes and her chest ached at the sight. Pushing it aside, Scarlet tried not to wonder why she had the pain in the first place.

Instead, she instructed him to sit down, so she could examine him. Started by looking at the wounds on his back First, because she just couldn't bring herself to look at him in the face. Especially since she was blushing just by examining his Strong, perfectly sculpted back.

It was a couple of Minutes of Scarlet cleaning and checking his wounds when he spoke “You said that you were an Alchemist. Right? What is that exactly?”

I was a little shocked that he spoke, and even more so when she heard how captivating his voice was. It took Scarlet a Second to recover from the shock, and she said, "Alchemy is basically Science. The study of why things are the way they are. How things work and what can be done with them, what you have on hand.”

“Are you a doctor?” Was the next question he asked.

Thinking about how she would find the words to answer his question, she finally said, "Everyone in my Family took an Oath when they became Doctors. I was never given that Oath, so I can't call myself a Doctor. Even though I was trained as One from a Young Age."

“When I found you, there was the scent of a lot of blood, and you felt extremely hot. Are you… are you going to be… okay?” Travis said with a broken voice.

Scarlet didn’t want to talk about such a private matter with him, so she said, “Yeah, I’ll be fine. There is nothing you need to worry about. This kind of thing happens all the time and I can’t die from it.”

Hearing this stumped him for a while and they both stayed quiet for the rest of the exam and treatment. When Scarlet was done, Travis looked like he wanted to say something, but he just couldn’t find the words.

Gathering her stuff, Scarlet was about to say goodbye when once again she was faced with his naked body. Looking away with her face redder than a cherry, she said, “You can keep it. Just try and stay out of trouble.”

As Scarlet started to walk off, her stomach made itself known. Then right behind her she heard an even louder grumble. Laughing, she turned and asked him if he wanted to eat First before they both went their separate ways.

The shock Travis received at Scarlet’s question was so funny she couldn’t help but laugh. Travis quickly recovered from his shock at the sound of her laughter and said, “Yes, I would love that. If you tell me what you want to eat, I can hunt it really quick, or I can catch some Fish?”
