Luam drove Gia to Fairview Creek and from a distance, he spotted Gilbert’s car. Luam could have been shocked but he was rather calm. He expected this occurrence from the very beginning. In fact, he always wished that Gia would stop pretending to despise Gilbert and yield to her feelings for him. Gia on the other hand was nervous. She had gotten used to bickering with Gilbert every time she met him that she did not know what she was supposed to do now.
“You must not stay longer than an hour, Gia.” Luam interrupted her thoughts when they came to a stop in front of Gilbert’s car.
“Yes.” Gia answered like an obedience child. Luam nodded and excused himself as Gilbert got into the car beside Gia.
