“Thank you, Matilda.” Gia said as she brought Matilda into a tight embrace before kissing her cheek fondly.
“Without you, we wouldn’t have known what Clarissa was planning to do to us.” Gia went on.
“You have been thanking me since this afternoon Ms. Gia.” Matilda remarked. “You don’t need to thank me but since you have already done it, once is enough. You are like family to me and I feel awkward receiving gratitude from you.”
