Rose's POV All the chat and laughs I was having with Olive came to an abrupt end as we got to my parents compound. I stared quietly at the house I grew up in until I felt Olive's hand touch my hand. The new gate stared back at me as I stared at it. "They'll be fine, you know." I nodded and sniffed back the tears that had begun to tingle my eyes. "Let's go!!!" Olive suddenly screamed and the driver horned at the gate. As we drove in, I could see the difference in our compound. I had sent enough money to my parents each month, telling them how to update the compound and I was glad they did. It looked different, better, with all the beautiful flowers and the repainting.
