Rose’s POV
I wasn't expecting that at all, , no one was and it was written in everyone's faces. Everyone in the room stared at us in shock and I could feel the energy in the room get tense.
“What sort of joke is that son?” The first woman spoke as she laughed lightly.
“It's not a joke. We're married and she is my wife.” He looked around. “Who’s got a problem with that?”
“When did this happen?” Jennifer asked in a very interrogative tone, making me wonder what her problem was actually.
“This isn't how things are done Derek. You can't just get married to a stranger.” A man at the table who looked about the same age as Derek spoke, not hiding the irritation in his voice and face.
