When we got to my house, I could see the surprise on her face as we stepped into the building, if only she knew.
"So, this is where I manage my lonely life." I told her as we got in.
"Manage indeed. A two bedroom flat with a boys quarters and a gate man's house is what you are managing?"
"Oh well. If you say so, come in." I led her into the house and showed her to the only vacant room I had. "You will be staying here for a while."
"No, sir. It's just for tonight, by daytime I'll begin my search for an apartment before I start looking for ways to start a business here." She immediately countered and I nodded.
"As you wish, miss..." I didn't even know her name and I was already offering her a house.
"Rose... Rose. That's my name."
