The next few days passed in a strange passage of time for Thea. Each candlemark seemed to drag, but the days were over too fast. At least once a day there was some social engagement between the Princess of Veren and the Prince of Milany. Thea or one of Freya’s Ladies in Waiting was always in attendance to chaperson, along with either Liam or Marcus. Inevitably, Prince Ilan also attended most events, and his bright smile and cheerful demeanour bought a welcome levity. As did the Myst, Marius and on occasion Lady Sastra.
