It was just after the peak of Midsummer, on a beautiful clear day. A small selection of nobles, knights and Myst had gathered on the meadow between the forest and the Palace. Verne tradition favoured outside weddings on fine weather, where Milanic weddings were specific in the words and vows that were formed.
Freya and Ilan had surprised the court with an elaborate affair stretching over midsummer and the days either side of the solstice. The court had been confused at the change of groom, before realising with easier acceptance that perhaps Ilan had been the Prince to warm more readily to the foreign Princess.
