Thea Thea studied the broad man as he approached, waving his club back and forth. She glared at him, unmoving as she held her ground. Quickly taking in the muscles beneath his badly fitting leather armour and padded clothing beneath. Was he strong, or was he simply large? Sometimes the two went hand in hand. Most opponents were stronger than she was, but few were as quick. He had the advantage of friends, and she’d sent Frost away. Hoping desperately that the horse would find his way to safety. A pang in her heart worried that perhaps it would be the last time she saw the dappled grey. The horse that had saved her so many times before. Thea pushed her thoughts aside, gaze flicking back and forth around the group that had closed it. They all kept their distance though, jeering to one
