As Vana predicted, the battalion on horseback arrived at the edge of an Eastern forest before nightfall. They camped a little beyond the treeline so that it would be harder for the bandits to creep upon them. But still, there was a sense of unease among the camp. There was a job to do. They would all sleep easier with the bandits rounded up or killed. An updated report suggested that there were between thirty and sixty bandits in the band. Larger than Vana had hoped.
