Once they were gone, Thea shook herself. The fallen jar was still lodged behind her back and she shuffled onto her knees again. She collected up the glass and edged over to the hessian sacks, nudging them apart until she found an empty one. She dropped the jar into the sack and lined it up against the stone wall at the back of the storeroom. Beyond the door and in the light that was starting to fade, she could hear the increased commotion of families gathering together for their evening meal. With the jar encased, she waited.
