(THE ONE WITH THE PERFECT EYES)

THIRD PERSON POV

SILVER hair and grey eyes. The perfect feature that only the family of Reed has. The distinction of a blessed pack and person that the Moon Goddess is highly cared for. The features of Lilith’s 17 years old self before her coming of age and everything of her life will turn upside down upon manifesting the curse wolf.

“My seventeenth birthday, no, our seventeenth birthday.” She whispers.

Then remembers the past that she was too innocent and naïve to only believe her devil of a twin Elysia. Something from the past, that little game and probably a spell that she hardly remembers what exactly it was, but she knows that is the reason of her entire misfortune from the past.

“What are we going to do, Elysia?”

“Don’t worry, I will take care of everything. All you have to do is trust me.”

Her innocence that her twin effectively uses to make her suffer. But this time, she will be ready and more than determine to know what her twin did for all of her misfortune from the past. As she has more than just a gut feel that her twin, Elysia, did something to her in the past.

“Nanny.” Lilith faces her personal maid and with a confident smile, but hiding the plans that she will be keeping first to herself; she asks of her maid. “Will you do me a favor?”

“Of course, what is it?” Nanny immediately agrees and without hesitation that made Lilith even smile wide and said.

“About this. The oldest version, much better.”

Lilith handed an information. Brief and short. A particular book, an old book that puzzled Nanny. Knowing that Lilith is not fond of the kind of book that she needed to look for. Nonetheless, she immediately agrees and didn’t asks any further about.

“Alright.” Nanny assures.

“One more thing Nanny.” She added, and right at the moment is whispering the words and saying. “Help me sneak out for a while.”

“What?” Nanny’s wide eyes in worry and surprise.

From the strict rule of the Alpha that no one among them of Elysia should go out for the day without asking for permission, until the end of their coming of age ceremony. Caught breaking the command of the Alpha will surely get them in trouble.

“Please.” Lilith pleaded, but one way or another she will sneak out no matter what. “I just need to be somewhere and to look for something very important.”

Nanny is having second thoughts knowing how tyrant the pack’s Alpha when his command is defied and especially when it comes to his daughters. But something from Lilith is different, she couldn’t pin point what it could be. Something interesting enough that is worth to be reported.

“Alright, but make sure that you will be back before anyone notice.” She made Lilith promise.

Which the latter gladly did and with a smile. Nanny then headed out as per her instruction and wish. All after she prepared everything for the coming of age tonight. With the door closing and Lilith looking at her phone and search for the possible location of the thing that she’s been looking for. She is suddenly plague by the events from her past.

“How foolish are you, Lilith? It was easy for me to give you my destiny and to steal yours, now you will have to face the end that I originally have.”

Elysia’s taunting words and all before her death from the past life. Enough and even more than she can start with of what to look and where to begin. But one this is clear, Elysia stole something important from her that she needed to have proof to believe and to bring it back to her.

“Tsk! I need to find out what it is.” Her first goal and immediately took her tablet from her closet and wrote everything of what she knows that happened from her past life.

Her trump card and easy access to gain the upper hand in this time. For the future in this regress life is her weapon and more than powerful enough that will earn her that revenge that she wanted. But the she couldn’t help but look at her reflection and remember the moment of her death.

“The day that I die, the same day that this hair was cut very short and for the first time. Elysia might have my fate and I got her curse. But one thing is certain and different from that past life that I have. I know everything, and knowledge itself is my ultimate weapon.” Her confidence and determination that is raising and fast.

Securing the tablet into the safest place that only she knew. She immediately dresses into sweatpants and a hooded jacket. Tying her hair in a ponytail and covered her head with the hood. With a pair of rubber shoes, and black sunglass, she’s incognito. Needed to find what she is looking for and quick and go back without anyone noticing.

“Aright! I need to know everything before the coming of age ceremony tonight. I need something that I can have against my twin and to have proof of what I am thinking of the possibilities of what she did right now.” She whispers and sneak out from the mansion and carefully without anyone noticing.

It’s just fortunate that all the servants are busy preparing for the special ceremony tonight that she easily found her way out and escaped. Using the door to the kitchen that leads her into the shortest route to the back garden and the wall that she can easily climb without much effort. She hurried away when.

“Isn’t that. Lilith?” familiar voice and a hateful expression flashed to her face.

She stops, hands clench, while calming her boiling anger before she turns around with a force smile and said.

“Daniel.”

She couldn’t help her desire to pounce Daniela and hard with her anger. But she immediately calms herself and is thankful that she is wearing glasses and a bit standing a fair distance from him. Clutching her hands tight, she still manages to stop herself from gritting her teeth from the wrath that is boiling inside her heart. Knowing that this is not the right time to lose control because of her emotions.

“Are you perhaps sneaking?” Daniel teases.

Arms on his waist and with a smile and taunting giggle that she honestly wanted to strip away from his face. But she couldn’t and not now. The person that she truly thinks then to be the one for her. The one who will protect her and once she dreams of having as her mate. But it turns out that he is nothing but a fool.

She looks at him with discernment, but not to the extent where Daniel would suspect something. Which with the time and the point where she regresses back in time? Daniel is someone that can be said innocent, still, she wouldn’t be a fool and more than prepared for everything that is going to happened.

“I knew it.” He playfully teases her. “What happened to the just daughter of Alpha Reid that everyone sees the perfect princess? What would they say if words spread that you sneak out despite the only command of the Alpha for today?”

A challenge and kind of a mocking that Lilith is thinking right now from what just Daniel said. That blabbering mouth of his. Daniel’s carefree self and easy-going personality that made him approachable to everyone. His wit, bravery, but a trusted one which made him unique in Lilith’s eyes then. But right now, he is nothing, but one of my biggest curses from her past life. The person she shouldn’t trust no matter what.

“Tsk! Nothing but a piece of trash.” Lilith smirks and a bit voice her mind.

“Say that again? Are you saying something to me, Lilith?” Daniel is taken aback and immediately asks her, which Lilith just brushes of and said.

“I am just saying how I wish you will stay that way even for the far future Daniel. Someone who will never think of betraying the one who trusted you the most.”

Words that took Daniel in utter silence and quickly. Erasing those smiles that he draws to himself, and might probably now thinking of what Lilith mean with those words that she just told him.

“I hope that you got the message, Daniel.” The distain to her tone and the condemns look from her eyes that surprises Daniel, but before he could say a thing and two, Lilith turns her back and with a few words.

“See you, Daniel.”

“Wait, Lilith!” he fails to stops her.

Lilith’s words and her demeanor that is different from her usual self and the fact that it is bothering him and greatly. Puzzled, but respecting what Lilith wanted and warry about her little threat. He only ends up asking the question.

“Why is it that I? I felt like you suddenly change somehow, Lilith.”

“A CALL? YOU HAVE RECEIVED AN URGENT CALL?”

The current alpha’s concerned expression. Alpha Reid. Relaying the facts and the urgency for the information that he just receives and out for the many days, it was during the coming of age of his daughters and his pack's children.

“I called for this emergency meeting because of that information that I have to receive.”

Everyone is all sitting on the long table, with the current Alpha in the middle, his beta on his right side, and the rest of the important rankings and officials of the pack.

“What was the call about Alpha Reid?”

Alpha Reid’s beta, Leo, and the current strongest one of the packs. The head general of the military governance that the entire pack is made off. His best ally and best friend. With a menacing look that the Alpha gives and for a while. Everyone immediately realizes the urgency of the situation. The depth and heavy topic that it brings that does concern everyone more than they could think about it.

“The Crimson Blood Hound Pack.”

Everyone felt the jolt and a certain chill down their spine. Nothing like out from fear, but a defensive stance. An alarming que that no one expects to hear and to know. A surge of threatening atmosphere and a looming war that all of them are somewhat expecting.

“The most vicious pack of the entire continent.”

One of the generals raise his concern. Knowing the capabilities of the said pack and the history that marks their bloodline not in any good terms, but a dark and troubled one. Crimson Blood Hound Pack. The pack that everyone is warry about. Feared because of their ruthlessness, earning everyone’s respect through sheer brutality from their incomparable strength and abilities. A military governing pack with their Alpha that is known a dictator. The pack that no other pack should face head on and fall to their bad side if they wanted to survive and they still value their lives.

“That pack is known for its striking reddish-brown hair and auburn red eyes. That ruthless pack? What do they want?”

“Should we prepare for war?”

“War? Do you know what you are saying right now? Do you really think that we can stand against that pack?”

The conversation that is getting alarming and troubled. With the generals and the secretaries of the pack that is being divided by the news that their Alpha just relayed. The division to fight and not, and the minority who are neutral and do not wish for any war.

“Quite!”

Alpha Reid raises his voice and at the same time, slamming the table that put everyone in their place. He then places his alms together, close his eyes for a second and warns everyone.

“We shouldn’t be jumping into any conclusion. War and the like are not the answer to everything. You above all else shouldn’t be wavered and be eaten by fear with regards to that pack. We have our military power that I am confident enough that will carry the pack into any war. But unnecessary war is like a death wish. Besides, I do not wish to have any conflict to any other pack, for it means and equivalent to the human’s country, and territory war.”

“We understand and apologize for our behavior, Alpha Reid.”

“That pack didn’t reach out to us because of any war intention, nor any territorial siege. They wanted something else.”

“What do you mean?”

“The Crimson Blood Hound Pack. Their Alpha, he wanted.”

“THE HECK, LET GO OF ME!” Lilith shouted and demanding for her release and quick.

All the while struggling from the tight grip of some ruffian with his left hand grabbing both of her wrists. Pinning her unto the wall and his right hand traveling down to her waist, securing her in place. All after she thought that the person who is held her captive is a savior and only wanted to help a damsel in distress. But it turns out that he is worse than those thieves, a ruffian who will about to eat her whole.

“Such a brave tiny girl.” His deep and a bit of a husky voice that Lilith admits that is damn sexy.

“Girl? Don’t you think that you are just abnormally big than a normal guy, rather than I being a little girl in your eyes?” She protested with her claims and principles.

“Feisty. I like it.” But then he smirks and look at her interestingly and lustfully.

Then he took her glasses. Throws them away, holds my face, and looks at me straight with those eyes of his that f*** she is kind of drawn into. Realizing the fault of the scenario, she quickly closes her eyes, but only to be tease by his voice that whispers in the most seductive command that she could hardly resist.

“Open your eyes.” He said.

That made her jolt and send a cold shiver to her body within seconds. His voice that is tempting and convincing. Something about him that is making her entire body quivers with the unknown lust, that she does not want to recognize. Yet, it was there and knocking. That particular lust that made her give him to his want and slowly opens her eyes.

Then a gush of craving and damn hot is screaming from deep inside her that she wanted to be eaten and drown into those auburn reddish-brown hair and eyes of his that resembles the autumn season. With his smile, from his eyes, his high nose and perfect molded face that the heavens perfectly created and showing how much, they love him. Lilith is stun, frozen in place and all the while as he said.

“Silver hair and grey pair of eyes. Tell me, who are you that I can distinguish you from your twin?”

A sudden question. An information that he wanted, no, he demanded. Which alarms and blares the red flag inside her mind. But before she could say a thing and too, he whispers to her ears of the words.

“I choose you. Mate or not, you will be mine.” His voice and tone that sends another chill down to her spine and made her subconsciousness and inner desire to scream the word.
