We stepped outside and walked toward the center of the lawn. Everybody was already waiting for us.
“You just need to relax and let the burn happen.” Izzy said as she took my hand.
“ OK, when will it start?”
“Should start anytime now.” Mikel assured me.
Just like he said, I started to feel hot. Like when you step out of a cold store on a hot humid summer's day. It was so hot. I was sure I was sweating through my clothes but when I looked down they were dry.
The heat began to increase and then I was surrounded by flames and they were cool. The fire only seemed to last for a few seconds before I was standing in the field as if nothing happened.
