EZEKIEL I glance at Daphne, curious about her sudden silence, only to find her dozing off. A quiet snort escapes my lips. I told her to watch me sleep, not to fall asleep herself. Her head dips, nearly hitting the edge of the bedstand, and I instinctively reach out, catching her just in time. She lets out a soft moan, unconsciously adjusting her position and settling more comfortably on the bed, my hand still cradled beneath her head. Then, she smiles.
