When I got back, Amara was surprisingly fast asleep, crouched up inside the duvet. She must have been exhausted too. As much as I wanted to climb in beside her, I desperately needed a warm shower. My entire body hurt and this bucket load of revelation on both sides was something I was still yet to process. My brain refuses to.  After taking a long shower and finally feeling a tad relaxed for the first time in weeks, I silently walked back into the room and slipped in beside Amara.
