"Hey," I clasped my fingers around her chin and tilted her face up. "Do you really think we have time to waste on tears?" When she didn't reply, I pulled her closer and softly kissed her neck. A shiver down her body and she took a deep breath, clasping her fingers in my hair as she threw her head back. A soft sigh escaped her throat and I smiled. She was so f*****g sexy and yet so sweet in the same breath. "You smell intoxicating, baby girl," I murmured and even though desire was making it hard for me to focus, the sadness still managed to seep in. No matter how much I probed her to live in the moment, it was just not possible. Not when you know that this was it.
