With those two questions, Kaida's walls finally came down and Uther sighed a sigh of relief.
His lips curved in a smile right after too, remembering the confidence with which Kaida had expressed her not being concerned about being liked by his people. It was one of the beautiful things to come out of her mouth. And he would be lying if he said he was not impressed and relieved too. Because that meant she would continue being herself and not turn into this bitter maiden that would do anything to gain the love of his people.
"The people love you and they'll love your queen." Uther couldn't help but smile at her statement. She was right but he also knew that the opposite was also true. His people would love him even more because of her.
